Yeah I’m pretty sure that Sun Tzu would be opposed to letting your opponents gather resources and having some of your supporters wander off before a battle. But that is only a guess.

Awe, poor Mariner. She won’t tell him/her when she is or is not going to get in the primaries. I feel so sorry for you. Please go on to the next candidate. Oh, do you go on the Christie threads and complain to? Awe, Christie won’t tell us! Wah Wah Wah. And you know who else won’t tell us? That Rubio character. Did I forget anyone?

Given that small donors only have so much disposable income to donate to campaigns, every dollar that a potential Palin supporter has donated or will donate to another candidate - is a dollar she won’t get. Every potential supporter that has already become invested emotionally and/or financially in another candidate will be that much tougher to get back. Every point she drops in the polls b/c she’s not running, is another point she’ll have to make up.

>> Do we FEEL or do we THINK? <<

The rest of your post is excellent, but I need to address this critical question.

It isn’t about FEEL or THINK, per se. The issue is where do we invest our energy and treasure? The important decisions are being made NOW! Not 2 days from now, not 10 days from now, not a month from now.

We have RINOmney’ers gathering steam, getting money, using their energy to get things going for McCain light. What is a Conservative to do? Wait and HOPE that Gov. Palin runs — AND can overcome her huge steamer trunk? And if she doesn’t run and romeny gets things started and has a huge, DNC-financed war chest? Oh well, she was playing “war.”

And if she doesn’t run? All that potential momentum — LOST FOREVER!

Gov. Palin is not HELPING anything — she is causing true Conservatives to pause, hesitate, and allow the enemy to move forward — IN OUR OWN CAMP.

Think again about your question.

Operation Fortitude

Operation Fortitude was the codename for the deception operations used by the Allied forces during World War II in connection with the Normandy landings (Operation Overlord).

It was divided into Fortitude North, a threat to invade Norway, and Fortitude South, designed to induce the Germans to believe that the main invasion of France would occur in the Pas de Calais rather than Normandy.

Fortitude was one of the most successful deception operations of the war and arguably the most important. Both Fortitude North and Fortitude South were related to a wider deception plan called Operation Bodyguard.

“every dollar that a potential Palin supporter has donated or will donate to another candidate - is a dollar she won’t get. Every potential supporter that has already become invested emotionally and/or financially in another candidate”

I think you are missing a basic point. Much of the Republican base hasn’t committed to ANYONE, yet.

Look what has happened so far.

Candidate rises, candidate falls. All the polling to date is useless.

That small donations money is sitting on the sidelines right now, WAITING...

“The Man Who Never Was” was part of an earlier deception, providing cover for the invasion of Sicily, rather than Normandy.

However this game has crossed the silly threshold. I'm FED UP with wondering what this woman will do.

The only threshold which has been crossed thus far is the childishly hysterical "failure to get instant gratification" threshold.

I would think, by any objective analysis, that the latest practical announcement date for Sarah, Christie, or any other potential candidate would have to be on or before the date of the very first state primary deadline.

Isn't that October 14th or some such date? The realistic window of opportunity is thus probably down to about 14 days or so. I definitely don't share your sense of frustration as of yet, and I'll be pretty surprised if Sarah Palin doesn't enter the race, because it seems to me that there's room for some more contenders.

I think that the whole corporatism/crony capitalism issue is an enormously critical one. Getting a handle on that would help steer the ship of state in a very positive direction.

I don't see anyone who can carry this winning cause better than Sarah Palin, or maybe Herman Cain.

If Sarah doesn't jump in, I sure hope someone else gives it a try. Like I said, there's plenty of room in this field.

One? How about allowing the state to have a Governor doing the job of governing rather than all the residents being used as pawns in a Liberal/Democrat power play?

You gotta stop using Dem/Lib Talking points Lou.

Schwarzkopf’s War Plan Based on Deception

February 28, 1991|JOHN M. BRODER | TIMES STAFF WRITER

WASHINGTON — The battle plan for vanquishing the Iraqi army mapped out by Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf was one of the most complex military campaigns ever devised, yet it rested upon a fundamental principle as old as human conflict—deception.

From the opening minutes of the air war in the pre-dawn hours of Jan. 17 to the climactic battle with the Republican Guard, the plan was to render Iraq’s army deaf and blind, deceive it on the allies’ true intentions, and then suddenly—and violently—encircle and annihilate it.

That answer shows you obviously never read the book so how can you comment on it?

Your answer to my answer shows not only did you not ever read the book, but you didn’t understand the few passages you read from the quotes posted out of context.

People try to help you understand why Gov. Palin is a problem, using current information, and all you have is nonsense.

You and yours are doing little to advance your cause and a lot to explain why you are hurting Conservatives.
