“you might not see them with a mental illness but I do as does others.”

You miss my point. Homosexuality is a, beyond words to describe, a horrible perversion of what is natural. However, when you class something as a “mental illness” instead of a choice...you dignify it. Calling something a “mental illness” gives them a “I can’t help myself” excuse...like claiming it is genetic in origin. Being “mentaly ill” does not carry the stigma it used to. A great many persons, under treatment, are serving honorably in the service...PTSD, etc. Don’t class homosexual perversion as a “mental illness” because it actually helps them make their case that they are OK.

Also, the approach that best will get them back out of military service IF and WHEN we (God willing) get a POTUS and Congress ready to do so, is if we are consistent in our standards. MEANING...we see ALL sexual deviance (to include promiscuity/adultery/fornication hetero/homo) as behavior not conducive to good order and discipline. We must hold ALL members of military service to high standards of conduct to include sexual. IF we don’t do that, we have already lost the war. Because the repeal of DADT is a symptom of a more systematic destruction of the military and society.

I cannot watch a TV program or movie anymore where homosexuality or extra marital hetero sex are not cast in an OK light. To rid the homosexual menance requires fully cleaning house. Once again, IF all we are going to do is single out homosexual immorality and turn a blind eye to heterosexual immorality....we are wasting our time.

We must be consistently for a moral and orderly society, or we won’t win this war.

I agree. Did you see this article I pinged out yesterday? The whole article is on FR. It’s excellent.

Americans Are Still Reeling From a Revolution That Failed

Americans continue to pay a terrible, terrible toll for one of the longest (and most ill-conceived) wars in our nation’s history.

In this war, the casualty count keeps rising, day by day, year after year. Hundreds of millions have been engulfed by it, and whole generations have been forever changed by their experiences with it. It has compromised us in the eyes of the world, and – worse – compromised our own intrinsic understanding of who we are as individuals, and as a nation.

The war I have in mind is the so-called “Sexual Revolution.” And on every scale that ultimately matters, it is a complete and utter failure. Like the famous revolutions in France, Russia, and Cuba – all of which promised one thing yet delivered another – this revolt has turned out to be no more than a means for ushering in an even more murderous, corrupt, and invincible regime.

The would-be-overthrow of the once cherished mores of Western civilization has only brought us 50 years of licensed depravity, and with it social decline, spiritual disarray, and political and legal confusion.

There is a reason to believe some homosexuality is a genetic defect. Irving Bieber of the University of Houston did a long study in the 1950's and early 1960's of the etiology of homosexuality and its susceptibility to "repair" by psychotherapy. In the early 50's some workers thought psychotherapy would be the key.

Bieber, at the end of his study *, concluded that about 30% of homosexual men (his study did not address women) were totally unreachable by psychotherapeutic methods; nowadays they would be called essentially homosexual.

Others responded in varying degrees to psychotherapy, which when it began to be practiced professionally (as opposed to experimentally) was called reparative therapy. Reparative therapy does not change the sexual orientation of "essentially" (or "biologically") homosexual men.

The significance of Bieber's work is that it suggests strongly that 70% of homosexual men are to some degree reachable by psychotherapy, and that is why militant homosexuals like Evan Wolfson, longtime of-counsel with Lambda Legal to many of the sodomy-case and "single-sex marriage" </cant> litigators of the last 30 years, have insisted that all homosexuals are "essential", because they were running a (false) analogy to skin color and race, and asking for decisions favoring their clients that would parallel the decisions that were the foundation of the Civil Rights Movement.

The "nurture" factor in homosexuality -- acculturation, sexualization, perversion -- is actually dominant among men (it's almost total among women, where very, very few women are "essentially" gay, and almost all lesbians are sexualized during youth by older lesbians), and it militates against the "essentialist" argument advanced by movement gays in their march to the Supreme Court, where it was always their strategy to argue to the Court, "as with black Americans, so with us -- we are gay, and cannot change our spots!" That is a lie, but all they needed was for Associate Justice Kennedy to buy it in the Lawrence case in 2003. As in Planned Parenthood vs. Casey, the infamous reconsideration of Roe vs. Wade, he was the liberals' fifth vote.

Kremer, Alfred H. Rifkin, Cornelia B. Wilbur, and Toby B. Bieber. New York, 1962 (second printing), Basic Books.
