Rick Perry blew it when he used an executive order to mandate Gardasil injections on 12 year old girls.

Rick Perry blew it when he was photographed sitting under the racist La Raza banner.

He blew it when he signed into law in-state tuition for illegal aliens, forcing citizenry that don’t even want illegal aliens in our country to contribute to their education. So now we will have educated illegal aliens that are not legally allowed to work in our country.

He screwed up when he touted all the jobs Texas has created even though 81 percent of the jobs created since 2007 in Texas have gone to immigrants who arrived here since 2007. Ninety-three percent of these immigrants aren’t citizens and an estimated 50 percent are illegal aliens while the percentage of Americans in Texas holding jobs fell from 71 percent in 2007 to 67 percent in 2011.

To me, he blew it when he said E-Verify would not work in Texas, a simple phone call that would reserve jobs for Americans. Why is that Mr. Perry? Are there too many illegals in your state? Does your job depend on foreigners? You are running for the Presidency of United States of America, we are not Texas.

Make it right Mr. Perry, mandate E-Verify with an executive order, something almost all ‘Americans’ can get behind, and you won’t even need the feds involvement.

Perry is supposed to be a conservative, but apart from the usual yahoo speeches about cutting taxes, seceding from the Union, and putting Jesus’ picture on the $100 bill******

Sorry, but Mr. Fleming pretty much bared his panties at this point. Not much sense in going on.

He may not be perfect but he’s not going to conspire to take our guns, he respects life and Texas is doing well in spite of the overall economy.

My friends, do not doubt me. I know this is going to shock many of you, and maybe disappoint a lot of you. But when you talk about the Republican establishment -- and you've read their pieces today -- you know what I'm talking about: The columnists, the magazine directors, editors, publishers, whatever, they are reaching and searching for a counter to the conservatives. They don't want Herman Cain getting the nomination; they don't want Perry getting the nomination; they don't want Bachmann getting the nomination. The Republican establishment does not want a conservative getting the nomination. If Chris Christie can come along, catch fire, see to it that Palin, Bachmann -- Palin not in, she might get in, who knows, doubt it, but still too soon to say -- if they can co-opt any conservative getting the nomination, they will do it.Rush Limbaugh

This Ron Paul lover and Papal Supremecy advocate is spouting garbage he knows nothing about. I trust Limbaugh over this guy. By the way, have we become so weak on FR that we don't do our own research anymore. We rely on smears by third parties referring to "Texans I know".

Well I am from Texas and I voted for Perry 3 times and every Texans I know backs him now.

We need more answers to who Rick Perry is. Is he a globalist? Is he a believer in man-made global warming? Does he subscribe to the high rise government owned islands of sustainable living? Does he support the United Nations? Who is this guy?

We do know he sat under a La Raza banner. Does that make him a globalist? Anti-American?

I want to know who this guy is.

Agreed, almost as bad as the Romney supporters.

If Perry is that bad, then how did he get elected governor of a conservative state?

Two and two do not seem to be adding to four here.

Forget Perry, and all the rest for that matter.

The country club republicans have decided upon their candidate and he will accept; Christy, as fat as he is, will be shoved down the throats of conservatives as were Dole and McCain.

The only snake oil salesmen in this race are obama and his government run healthcare partner in crime, Romney.

It will be interesting to see who we end up with since Perry is being destroyed, Cain is now being attacked since he’s risen to the top and the rest of the pack is fading into obscurity.

My guess: Romney. He’s the only one who seems to be staying above the media and fellow candidates’ fray.

Is that really what we want?

That is simply not true. There are Texans on this board who absolutely do NOT support Perry. And as I said yesterday, Perry is good in Texas because HE doesn’t control Texas TEXAS controls HIM. Outside of Texas, he is like a fish out of water.
He is so arrogant that he refused to listen to his campaign managers to practice for the debates. He wouldn’t even discuss it. And you see how THAT turned out.
Almost every pro-perry supporter on FR has made excuse after excuse for him. Oh, you silly people outside of Texas just don’t understand, they say.
Maybe some don’t, but a lot of us do,and we really, really want y’all to keep him right there in Texas where he belongs.

Perry calls global warming “all one contrived phony mess that is falling apart under its own weight.”

I’m not aware of any politician who has condemned the AGW fraud more strongly than Perry.

quote “The only snake oil salesmen in this race are obama and his government run healthcare partner in crime, Romney.”

exactly!

the party establishment has destroyed or badly wounded all the tea party backed candidates, so they can anoint Romney which is who they wanted from the start.

And the best part is, they got the party outsiders to do the dirty work for them.

All Hail Romney! the pick of the insiders (and planned parenthood)

Hey Mesta, your a cool guy but I am referring to Texans I know.

There really isn't any excuses to make but the Perry haters deny his conservative credentials while blasting him as, well, almost traitorous.

I will be backing Perry as the best candidate to beat Obama and run this country by staying out of the way.

If Perry is arrogant then Palin is a needy attention seeker. That is the story on her outside her base. That is how she will be painted by the liberal wing of the Republican Party and they have plenty of ammo to do so.

Rush nailed what is going on here. The fix is in, or attempting to be implemented.

I believe Perry will come out strong in the next debate and calm nerves of those who think he might blow it in the general. If he is sub par, he will fade to oblivion and back someone I assume. That is a healthy chunk of voters to throw someones way.

If it's not too late for Palin or Christie to join the race, it's not too late for Perry to straighten this thing out. He still polls above Romney in some polls and just below in others.

Politics in an (elitists) insider's game. He was the lesser of two evils, would be my guess. Perry vs. Kay Bailey Hutchison.

The Daily Mail?

You’re serious?

If they can keep conservatives fighting and in angry camps defending their conservative candidate, the other side always wins (Hugo Chavez and Venezuela politics is a good example) and as this same process occurs over and over again, the many conservative factions become ever more isolated from each other and that ensures that liberals can gain increasing control until they have so much control it doesn’t matter what conservatives think anymore.

It's pretty clear there is none more conservative than Romney.

Palin is getting the "nuts and sluts" attack.

Cain is inexperienced pizza man whose not ready.

Perry is an open borders globalist who hates 12 year old girls.

Newt has too much baggage.

Bachman and Santorum are not contenders (probably interference runners).

That leaves only the conservative, electable Mitt Romney.

I saw this same movie only it starred 2008 McCain as Romney. 2008 Romney as Perry. 2008 Thompson as Palin. and 2008 Newt as Newt.

Oh and 2008 Giuliani as Chris Christie.

Well thank God! At least we can agree Perry is more conservative than Republican "moderate" KBH.

He is pro life, pro 2nd Amendment, pro military, ex-military, and he has spent around 400 million of Texas Tax dollars to secure the US border.

I guess that makes him just a little less evil than Kay.
