Nixon had nothing to do with the original offense in Watergate, but he did try to cover it up, and while this was bad, you’re right, it doesn’t rise to anything like what Obama has been doing. And there’s no way Obama couldn’t have known about an operation this sensitive, if only because Holder had to have known about it and Holder would most certainly have asked Obama to protect him once things started to get hot.
Nixon was not a likeable person (even though he was, by then, pretty liberal) and the press had hated him for years because of his involvement with the McCarthy hearings, which revealed so many of them as the Communist stooges that they were. So they did swarm right in immediately, and I remember too that it was practically 24 hour news, literally reported moment by moment in both the print and other media.
And as you say, the media has no interest in calling attention to anything that might tarnish their hero, Obama. I think the only hope is for Mexico to continue pressing their case, but I suspect that we’re going to see Mexico get bought off or threatened by Obama in some way to make them drop their case.
I think the people in the House want to do the right thing, but I am afraid that the ATF and certainly the Justice Department have already had plenty of time to make the evidence disappear.
Every other news network except CBS is ignoring it because they know the roots of this crime go all the way to the president.
The media expended all their credibility getting Obama elected and passing his agenda. I doubt any of them will attempt to topple him.
I think a lot depends on how much Hillary knew/knows. If she decides to make a primary challenge and gives the media the signal that she wants it investigated, the gloves will come off.
If, on the other hand, she’s implicated or can be implicated, they will weld the doors shut.
This article says she’s implicated. Of course she is implicated, many agencies are, this is huge and not going away.

Probably because Vdare used to lean antisemite in a big way. Not all the time, but Sam Francis used to hang around there (if my memory is ok) and the rest of the boys got somewhat brownish too. I probably have more background on Vdare than Wiki :).
