Fox poll does have Cain in 3rd place at 17%
If he moves into a strong 2nd place, look for him to become the new piñata of the week. The MSM and 'moderate' Republicans will not let his polling to go much higher unscathed.

Somebody should keep a list of all the moderate republicans on Free Republic. They seem to bash whoever is the favorite.

People forget back in mid-June when Cain was riding 2nd place to Romney in the Rasmussen, NBC/WSJ and PPP polls within a five day span. Back in May PPP had Cain only 4% behind Romney.
