The Obama administration is asking the Supreme Court to rule on the constitutionality of the federal healthcare overhaul sooner rather than later, with the Justice Department announcing that it will file a petition Wednesday asking the court to take the case.

The department is appealing from a decision last month by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals in Atlanta that held that the requirement under the Affordable Care Act that all Americans purchase health insurance is unconstitutional.

The timing is suspicious. I think he wants and expects it to be overturned.

He's having to face the realization the the people that told him this was a jobs killer were right.

If the court overturns it now, and business starts hiring again he can claim it's all because of "his plan".

Let's face it, this depends on what Anthony Kennedy thinks and you're right we can't depend on him.

But what is the White House's game? Suppose SCOTUS upholds the law? Wouldn't that make it clear to voters that they have to vote Obozo out to get rid of that law?

The timing is suspicious

Earlier today, a pro-business group filed papers to have the USSC review the 11th court's decision that the individual mandate CAN be separated from the rest of the bill.

This has caused the DOJ to stop dragging their feet.

That sounds like they’re afraid of what the probable outcome will be, and don’t went that to be decided separately.

Finally, we will know the only opinion that matters as to ObamaCare's Constitutionality: de facto Chief Justice Anthony Kennedy.
