CHICAGO (WLS) - Former Chicago Bears defensive tackle Dan Hampton says he will not be joining his fellow teammates when they visit the White House next month.
Hampton, a member of the Bears 1985 Super Bowl championship team, made the comments on Chicago's Mully and Hanley radio show Monday.
"It's my personal choice," the four-time Pro Bowler said. "I don't choose to go."
Hampton said he was bothered that the invitation did not include players' wives and children and added, "Secondly, I’m not a fan of the guy in the White House, and third, it was 25 years ago. Let it go.”

But why the 1985 Bears? It was such a long time ago, who cares. Why is this relevant now?
The things this administration does really makes me wonder if they are playing with a full deck.

Obama has been making speeches to himself for over a year now. An excellent example is his recent speech to the Congressional Black Caucus. Even Robo-Rep. Maxine Waters said “I don’t know who he was talking to.”
Obama’s meltdown is at least one year old. He probably saw Chicago as a safe haven, and thus invites ‘da Bears.
Desperate times require desperate measures.
BTW, why doesn’t Obama invite members of his old high school football team? That was in Hawaii, wasn’t it? Or maybe it was - - -. Yeah, ‘da Bears was the right idea.

Super Bowl champions are traditionally honored with a visit to the White House. But plans for the 1985 Bears to come to Washington were scrapped when the space shuttle Challenger exploded just days after their victory in January 1986.
I'm convinced O'Bummer has serious mental issues.
Hampton had one of the all time great football lines - “Real men don’t walk away from the game. They limp away.”

Still, why is this important now? There are so many other things that require attention and not just race or class baiting. Now that is his “job one”. He’s just sickening!

If I were Dan Hampton, I would’ve gone to the White House, and I would’ve taken the opportunity to put Zero on the spot about all the damaging legislation and policies he’s put in place and that have destroyed the country.
So Obama can blame it on Reagan this time.

Is he polling so low he has to try to capture the Chicago vote? I don’t get this photo op one bit. And good on Hampton.
