Yes, Perry needs to tell the creeps debating him that fact. Those who've not legislated on in state tuition for illegals the matter at all. What is not prohibited is allowed.

Texas Republicans made it tough on illegals if they wanted to attend one of our colleges. The other 38 states allow those illegals to have the same benefit as a legal American student. There is a fed law regarding illegals...one law they keep...that allows illegals to have in state tuition without questioning their nationality.

So Texas took the bull by the horns...and controlled it.

Didn't I already tell you that's not the law. Many states don't specifically exclude illegals from instate tuition ~ they simply EXCLUDE everybody who is not here legally, who is not a resident, who has only a temporary visa, who looks at the dean crosseyed.

You don't need a law that specifically excludes illegals when you don't even let them enter the school.

BTW, those rules that require a visa? That's about a federally issued student visa. It doesn't give you instate tuition. It gives you a right to enter a specific school for a specific time at OUT OF STATE TUITION RATES.
