Christie at his weight, is the personification of a ‘walking heart attack’. He is a big candidate for dropping dead.
If he were to run for President now or later at that weight, any thoughtful independent voter would have to factor in his VP choice as being likely to succeed him in office.

that IS a consideration....I wonder in such anxious times, if people want to worry about that.
To: RBIEL2
I guess he should pick Michelle Obama as his VEEP so she can tell him what to eat.

I just read the text of the speech. He repeatedly insisted that his success as governor was due to his willingness to reach across the aisle to reach compromise solutions with Democrats.
To: behzinlea
With a Republican Senate he wouldn’t have to.

Judging from the number of posts on this thread, a whole bunch of people really gave a damb. I don’t even know why Fox carried it live. He is the governor of New Jersey, FGS!

Just for fun, what states would Christie carry against The One?
He is certain to carry all the states McCain did. Then I would throw in New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Nevada and New Hampshire.
What fun.

Granted he is not Herman Cain, Ron Paul, Michelle Bachman or Reality Star Sarah Palin so he is no darling of FR. But he would beat Obama easily. Isn’t that what we are after?
