Reporting from Greenville, S.C. Rick Perry is learning all kinds of ways that words can come back to haunt a guy.
Theres his famous Ponzi scheme remark about Social Security from his book Fed Up!, which former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has used to bludgeon the Texas governor in their last couple of debates.
And now Perrys in hot water in North Carolina for a remark he made all the way back in 1992, when he was Texas agriculture commissioner and Houston was hosting the Republican National Convention.

Actually barbeque isn't barbeque unless it is pork. However, I enjoy jerk pork and Cuban style barbeque pork the best.
Unfortunately Carlton is having licensing problems with the city so I haven’t had jerk pork in a few weeks.
I like Barbecue beef and chicken but you are right. To be authentic Bar B Q it has to be pork.
“I’ve had road kill that tasted better than that,” Perry was quoted as saying.
Sun baked Armadillo?
Anyone here ever eat a feral pig “hogzilla” as barbeque? I wonder what that tastes like.
This is the information age and many in NC are probably hearing this for the first time. No longer can the political class run and hide and thank God for that.
Politicians seem to think they should never be held accountable. It is on his record and he owns it, just like the “have no heart” comment that took him down in flames.
Enjoy your illegals, Gov. They’ve just cost you an election.
Do we really want a President who’d eat roadkill?
Talk about dredging the barrel.
I bet he let gas in kindergarten too. Oh the Horror, oh the horror.
Perry must be pure as the driven snow, since they have to try to use a comment he made 20 years ago, about a barbeque he didn’t like, to attack him.
That is a really good reason to NOT vote for him. (/sarcasm)

” he tried some Eastern North Carolina barbecue from King’s of Kinston, which was served at the Republican National Convention in Houston. “I’ve had road kill that tasted better than that,” Perry was quoted as saying.”
I have the same sentiment about Eastern style, especially from King’s.
I used to have neighbors who quite literally caught wild hogs for most of their meat. The reason they caught them is they didn’t like the taste of wild hog.
They would pen them up for several months and feed them before slaughtering them.
“they have to try to use a comment he made 20 years ago, about a barbeque he didnt like, to attack him.”
The BBQ wars have been raging for a long time. It’s fair game for some folks.
Nonsense - it ain’t the meat, it’s the method.
I’ve had BBQ coon...good!
Lol..me too and I live in NC.
BBQ wars are a noble tradition in the southern states, with each state bashing the other’s techniques and sauces.
God I hate election season. Reasonable people lose their collective minds.
