Whether you like him or not, that would clearly be Romney. Christie is brash.
Christie— He is implying YES (he will run) right now by talking about Ronald Reagan and the air traffic controllers
I am watching his speech covered on Hannity
I have been on that train for a while now. In fact, I have been watching him since he first started speaking at Tea Party Rallies in the summer of 2010.
The conventional wisdom is saying that Romney would defeat Obama. I’m not so sure. Romney couldn’t beat McCain in 2008, and, thus far, it’s clear that the Republican base isn’t convinced that he’s the one. As it stands now, I’ll vote for either Cain or Perry, but I have until next Spring to decide.
Facts don’t matter to some around here. Christy never said he was in favor of the Ground Zero Mosque. What he basically said was that the Governor of New Jersey didn’t have a right to tell New York City (which is not nor ever has been, part of the state of NJ) what it should allow to be built on private property.
He took a true “State’s rights” position but since the cause was unpopular, he got beaten up here by some people who don’t seem to have a very consistent view of state’s or private property rights.
I agree with you.
Ann Coulter’s not happy either, I bet.
As to the LSD church, if Romney had converted to it at age 40 I'd have a problem with it but being born into it is another kettle of fish altogether and I don't really have a problem with that.
I will vote in the general for whosoever wins the nomination. In the primary I am voting for the one candidate that best reflects my views. That candidate is Herman Cain.
And yes I do admit that until this past debate where Perry stammered like a drunken fool and then pizzed all over the base with his “heartless” comment I was going to support Perry since he was considered “electable” and I thought he was conservative.
I don’t think he is either of those things now but if he gets the nomination (without my vote or support) I will vote for him or frankly anyone else over Obama. Doing
otherwise is unacceptable.
I have moved (back) to Cain mainly because of his victory in Florida but also because of his debate performances. While everyone else is busy talking about how great they are or how bad the other on is, Herman is talking about specific plans that confront problams that face us now.
Ive been on the Cain Train since he announced.
I will not vote for Sarah Palin over Cain. Cain is the best qualified and most conservative candidate we have
I.m with you gatorgirl Honkies for Herman
We have a functioning atheist now, so while I don’t subsrcibe to Mormon theology, it would be nice to have someone who believes in something greater than themselves. Cain remains an interesting VP choice, as does Rubio. If not veep, I could definitely see Cain as something like Commerce Secretary.
For sure Perry isn’t a debater. I think that he’s very conservative: He’s pro-life, pro-2nd, pro-10th, for less government, pro-business, for low taxes, for cutting spending, for entitlement reform, for securing the border (in word and action). I think the majority of conservatives would be happy to have that in a nominee. I like Cain, too. He will have to sell his 999 tax plan, I can see where that could be a challenge, especially for those who don’t pay income taxes and for people who are on a limited fixed-income.
Ann Coulter is deeply saddened. He raised her hopes, only to dash them again.
It’s even worse than that. There is a move afoot to draft Alan Simpson.
The rino’s must be desperate to consider that old fart...and greedy geezer...
Long time lurker, infrequent poster. I have to chime in...I get frustrated when I come on here and see people ripping our own candidates just because of a difference of opinion on one or two issues. No candidate is perfect, and Christie is our best chance at winning and turning this country around. I love Palin, but she is unelectable. Sad, but true. She can’t win. We can win with Romney, but it will be a tougher fight. If Christie gets in, it’s over. He will win over the independents, and wipe the floor with Obozo in the debates.
Can anyone meet the conservative specifications for President? BTW just what are those specifications?
Not going to happen. And she stands no chance. I know you know this.
