The London exchange is far, far busier than the Comex.

I think it is (well, WAS) the largest gold exchange on the planet.

I will certainly keep an eye on this story. It could be just a case of plain old fraud though and not economic collapse there are plenty of rumors that people were sell gold they didn’t have or didn’t exist and when the buyers tried to take psychical possession the schemes broke down.
