Well, as of 2001 they had 14 ships capable of crossing an ocean:
3 1500 ton Frigates (1971)
2 1100 ton Corvettes (1964)
3 3000 ton Kilo-class subs (1990s)
4 3000 ton Landing Ships (1970s)
2 2300 ton Landing Ships (1970s)
And that's it - don't see how they've added much in ten years, probably took all they had just to keep THOSE operational.

It is probably a coincidence that prima facie it looks like they reverse engineed their Vosper Mk5 frigates bult in the UK in the 70s
