Well, as of 2001 they had 14 ships capable of crossing an ocean:
3 1500 ton Frigates (1971)
2 1100 ton Corvettes (1964)
3 3000 ton Kilo-class subs (1990s)
4 3000 ton Landing Ships (1970s)
2 2300 ton Landing Ships (1970s)
And that's it - don't see how they've added much in ten years, probably took all they had just to keep THOSE operational.

They are now building their entirely indigenous Islamic Revolutionary designed ships, having commisioned the frigate Jamaran earlier this year

It is probably a coincidence that prima facie it looks like they reverse engineed their Vosper Mk5 frigates bult in the UK in the 70s
