The dispute over Barack Obama's eligibility to be president erupted during the 2008 election campaign and featured among others a lawsuit filed on behalf of Ambassador Alan Keyes against California election officials who did not check whether Obama was eligibile. Now the 2012 campaign is charging ahead at full throttle, and the issue is still alive.
That's because the case was before the U.S. Supreme Court for a conference today. A conference is a meeting at which the justices decide which cases they will review. To date, none of the Obama eligibility challenges that have reached the high court have been accepted. It could be as long as a week or more before an announcement comes from the court.
Attorney Gary Kreep of the U.S. Justice Foundation is handling the case.
"If the U.S. Supreme court agrees to hear this case, and we pray that it will, it will send shock waves through the Washington political establishment," Kreep said. "It will mean that the Supreme Court is going to follow the lead of the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals justice who has publicly commented that this is an important constitutional issue."

You have to understand that ALL politicians have “baggage” in their backgrounds.
No politician is going to stand up for any citizen and take the chance that their opposition is going to expose it. Believe me, the Ministry of Propaganda knows where the skeletons are in each (and every) politician’s closet.
There’s your answer.
This may be considered a birther subject, but is is far from birther nonsense.
As a American citizen, I have the right to question the qualifications of any of my elected officials. Mr. obama has continued to hide his history from the American people and the Supreme Court should resolve the question;
1. Is Mr. obama a “Natural Born Citizen” or is he a dual citizen and not qualified to be President.
2.What is Mr. obama’s legal name?
It's not the same at all really. Kreep framed this question for the court which fails to address Obama's inherent Constitutional deficiency. At best, this would only have an impact on future elections.
Whether the Secretary of State, as the Chief Elections Officer of the State of California, be required to verify that candidates for the Office of President of the United States are indeed eligible for the office before placing the candidates on the California ballot?
The Constitutional passage on presidential eligibility has been effectively reduced to a suggestion instead of a requirement.
Kenya.
Kenya amended their constitution (on Obama’s birthday) including a provision to allow persons such as Obama to reclaim his Kenyan citizenship...which would allow Obama to run for dictator for life in Kenya.
You think overturning the unconstitutional crap Zero has signed etc would be a disaster? You got it backwards. NOT overturning would be a disaster.
Yeah, but Zero and plenty of others knew he was fraudulent. Just because he fooled people doesn’t work. He knew he was lying. Plus plenty of us right here on FR knew he was fraudulent in the summer of 2008.
Note that the “regulars” are thick on this, including the pinging of the Sanity Squad although the name got dropped. Fogbow must be buzzing.
If anything, they’re celebrating another so-called “victory” to add to their lawsuit count. This wasn’t a very strong victory, however, since Kreep really narrowed the terms of the political question, which limited the chances of getting this case heard. The funny part is that Obama apologists still think the Constitutional deficiency issue is somehow “helpful” to Obama. Obama’s political future is crumbling on his failure to lead. No amount of harping about so-called “birthers” is going to rescue a loser.
It's not the same at all really. Kreep framed this question for the court which fails to address Obama's inherent Constitutional deficiency. At best, this would only have an impact on future elections. The very first birther case that the U.S. Supreme Court kicked was Donofrio v. Wells. The defendant, Nina Mitchell Wells, was then Secretary of State of New Jersey. Leo Donofrio sued her not properly vetting Obama's eligibility.Whether the Secretary of State, as the Chief Elections Officer of the State of California, be required to verify that candidates for the Office of President of the United States are indeed eligible for the office before placing the candidates on the California ballot?
So yeah, same birther nonsense.
Has anyone else noticed how WND headlines often slip into the passive tense to make a non-story seem more important?
What an interesting thread. Obots pretend to stick only to the facts, but they can never quite hide their gloat. Having a Dear Leader who can never be questioned by mere peasants is a wet dream to them. The idea of a marxist ideologue who has told more nativity lies than Clinton on the subject of sex, being shielded from any and all challenges by the court gets them so pumped. It’s repulsive to watch.
As a conservative, I do not recognize the same passions in them that I see in me. I don’t want leaders so exalted that mere peons are beneath their contempt. I want accountable leaders who don’t see themselves as or act like autocrats. Obama treats the people who foot the bill for his unprecedented extravagances like dirt. It is sickening. Some look at this scenario and see a problem. Others look at it and can’t hide their smug delight.
Donofrio filed a stay against the state of NJ prior to the election. I’ve already explained how the Kreep petition framed a different question. So, sorry, it’s not the same.
And supposing they do, this is somehow different than other media??
I've never seen any other source do it with such regularity.
I will actually be surprised if the SCOTUS agrees to review zero’s eligibility this time. Every court (including the SCOTUS) that this issue has come before has found a way to duck the issue. No one wants to touch it because it is a political hot potato and everyone of these gutless cowards hope that the problem will be resolved in November of next year.
The illegal imigration issue is in the same category. No court wants to touch it. The politicians, regardless which party and regardless of what they say, all support illegal immigration because tyhey think it will bring thm a permanent class of voters that support them.
Ironically, Bush 43 was a big supporter of the illegals and they pretty much detested him. Therein lies the problem that the out-of-touch politicians don’t get and the American people do. The illegals are simply looking to sponge off of the taxpayers and it’s working for them. This is likely going to be an issue that we, the people who own this corrupt government, will have to address ourselves. Most people refuse to acknowledge how broken and corrupt our political system is and, until they do, this probem won’t go away.
You are correct and they are very trasnparent. It will be interesting to watch the next year or so; good chance Steaming won’t run again, his one party is starting to hate him:

President Obama will raise substantially less in the second quarter of his campaign than the first, according to the New York Times.
The paper writes that Obama campaign manager Jim Messina has told Democratic officials that the president will raise about $55 million in the quarter that ends Sept. 30, about $30 million less than he raised the first quarter of his campaign which was the second quarter of the year, ending June 30.
The news was gosh who would have expected buried within the Times story.
Axelrod has the right metaphor but the wrong application. He should have said, ‘The Dem Party has hit an iceberg, and the iceberg’s name is Obama’.
Couldn’t happen to a more corrupt, deserving criminal enterprise.
Hahahahahahaha.
They’re like gadflies; annoying but with no power to change the course of events.
I guess Axelrod forgot that the iceberg won and the Titanic lost!
Isn’t there some verse about “as the heart thinks, so the mouth speaks”? Kind of like Zero and the the Jew tax thing!
