A dozen or so guns sold would have been a botched and scrapped operation..but hundreds of guns is a clear attempt to effect political debate, not track gun traffic.

Not hundreds but over 2000 guns literally enough to arm a marine regiment & now they literally were buying guns & reselling them to KNOWN CRIMINALS .We don’t have control of the weapons or an accounting of the funds received in the resale of those weapons ,for all we know somebodies 401K just got a boost.
But of course, we knew this from our extensive reading on the case in the MSM, which has covered this scandal in great detail. Any day now, I expect the NYT, or the WaPo, or the BG to break this wide open with some insightful investigative reporting.
Sort of amazing that not one (that's not 1) candidate has heard enough about it to mention it on the stump, isn't it? Maybe it's not too late for the story of the President's shocking hi-jinx in Olde Kenya to come up. It's a real hum-odinga.
