Mr. Rogers and Big Bird didn’t talk about politics so I don’t “remember” the Reagan Presidency at all. My first political memory is watching the rat convention in 1988. My mom didn’t mind me saying “**** Dukakis” ;)

Everyone has heard of the Reagan amnesty. Obviously it was a large mistake. But so what. Perry like Bush will likely be FAIL on immigration, I don’t trust him. I stand by what I said, Perry is closer to Romney.

I’m already familiar with this Perryboy tactic to go after Reagan and favorably compare Slick Rick to him, so you can save it I don’t give a bleep, thanks for playing though we have some lovely parting gifts for you.

My first political memory is the day President Kennedy was shot. I remember the tall swaggering LBJ which led to a Nixon presidency. Nixon continue the growth of ‘big mama’ government, but that did NOT placate the raving heathen liberals. They wanted his blood, hence Watergate and forced him out of office. Then the good old ‘Christian’ peanut farmer governor got elected and painted US as needing not one but both of our cheeks slapped repeatedly by the third world dictators. I worked in ‘government’ during Carter and in winter time ‘sweaters’ were required wardrobe to save energy.

Then President Reagan caught a weary nation's attention that we were NOT suppose to live like second class citizens. He was able to rightfully expose what Soviet styled communism did to the mind, body, and spirit of humanity around this globe. And the liberals shrieked like stuck pigs... During Carter they were really full of the notion that we had made a U-turn and got on that road of the French Revolution.

President Reagan withstood the ‘fiery darts’ of all mutations of ‘Soviet style communism’, and darkness became the dawn of our national spirit. BUT while so many politicians LOVED the notion of Reagan, not even his vice-president really believed in less government and NO taxation without representation. He talked the talk but allowed himself to get cornered by the liberal hosts to raising taxes.

Of course GHWBush won the presidency, but he allowed the liberals to go on a military cutting spree using base closure ‘commissions’ to protect Congressional reelections. All the liberals demanded to have a spending spree over what the called ‘peace dividends’ at the collapse of the Berlin wall.

Then the I ‘feel your pain’ smooth talking bjClinton appeared on the scene and his wonder woman wife and accused GHWBush of causing the worst economy of the last fifty years... It was an election called ‘it is the economy, stupid’. And the flood of deception flowed as if this nation was hit by a hurricane of lies. Most everyone reading this surely remembers the Clinton years to date.
