If she’s a Mexi national that gets intentionally knocked up on the other side of the Rio Grande, and then sneaks into the country to have the kid, that makes HER a citizen too?

If that’s the case, then we have a serious need to change the law. I understand the “anchor baby clause” (14th), but it’s ridiculous.

Do you?

Under the 14th, there is no such thing as an “anchor baby.” The mother has to be in the country legally with intention to establish residence for the child to be a citizen under the 14th.
