Out of the hundreds of out-of-work employees, vendors, investors and other creditors in the bankruptcy of government-backed solar-panel maker Solyndra LLC, one name stands out: the California Democratic Party.
Why California Democrats would be creditor to a company that received more than a half-billion dollars in federal loans to build a solar-panel plant isnt clear. Even party officials say theyre not sure.
The California Democratic Partys communications director, Tenoch Flores, said the organization was not owed any funds in any form by the California-based company. He said he was unclear why the party would be listed as a creditor in Solyndras bankruptcy filing.
According to campaign-finance records, Solyndra donated $7,500 to the California Democratic Party in October 2010. Its legal in California for corporations to make donations. But that doesnt explain why the company would identify the Democratic Party as a creditor in its bankruptcy filing a year later.
A Solyndra spokesman did not respond to messages seeking more details about the filing.

Solyndra Shenanigans Ping.
L freaking O L.
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Wow! This is getting more interesting by the minute!!!!! This is some deep sh**!
The amount that the company thinks it owes to the Democratic Party should be set forth in the bankruptcy petition. It can be inquired about at the debtor’s exam, a public hearing. This should be easy to uncover.
Plus I see that Law firms were paid by the Stimulus!!!!! To help the company get the loan! Double wow!
Probably the ‘rake off’ they were due for arranging the loans.
Makes you wonder if names will be named....and doubtful...the cover up will continue as the administration puts pressure on any who might “talk”. Chicago thugs are not called that for nothing.
Oh what a tangled web we weave......
Silly Valley pingy thingy

If I follow the money, it comes from taxpayers and eventually lands in the Cal Dems coffers. Obie’s ripped us off again to support his buds who can help reelect
Remember kiddies!
It’s NOT Corrupt Crony Capitalism, Pay-to-play, or outright BRIBERY if Done-While-Democrat!
Just any ANY non-Fox member of the MSM about this.
I guarantee you, this California Democrat Party “investment” with Solyndra is somehow tied to that California Democrat Party campign fund accountant, Kinde Durkee, who got arrested a couple weeks ago for allegedly swiping millions from California Democrats. This stuff is never a coincidence. Never.
Oh, I have little doubt that you are right about it. The problem is that there is nothing we can do about it.
This stinks...and it’s what passes for serious domestic policy these days. The press is so in the tank for the Dems it’s embarassing, but developments like this embarass the press so much I think that they ignore it in the hopes that they won’t have to apologize (yet again) for missing the story.

Many of the lobbyists previously worked in government for Democratic and Republican lawmakers alike. They included former aides to lawmakers such as Sen. Alfonse DAmato, New York Republican; Sen. Maria Cantwell, Washington Democrat; and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat.
