Retailers Are Put on the Spot Over Anti-Gay Aid By ERIK ECKHOLM September 25, 2011
Matthew Ryan Williams
A handful of advocates, armed with nothing more than their keyboards, have put many of the countrys largest retailers, including Apple, Microsoft, Netflix and Wal-Mart, on the spot over their indirect and, until recently, unnoticed roles in funneling money to Christian groups that are vocal in opposing homosexuality.
The advocates are demanding that the retailers end their association with an Internet marketer that gets a commission from the retailers for each online customer it gives them. It is a routine arrangement on hundreds of e-commerce sites, but with a twist here: a share of the commission that retailers pay is donated to a Christian charity of the buyers choice, from a list that includes prominent conservative evangelical groups like the Family Research Council and Focus on the Family.
The marketer and the Christian groups are fighting back, saying that the hundred or so companies that have dropped the marketer were misled and that the charities are being slandered for their religious beliefs.

how do we fight back?
How sad that it is not a coalition of family groups pressuring companies to stop donating to homosexual groups.
Two can play at this game, if the homofascists want to play hardball. There are a lot more non-perverts in society than sodomites. At least, one would hope so...
Sounds like it’s time to boycott merchants who make contributions to gays ~ or who have employee selection processes favoring gays.
It’s those ‘oh so open minded’ liberal gays trying to shut down our right to speak. They’re bullies.
I got an email from a pro-life organization that was having problems with Paypal, so I cancelled my membership and told them 3 times why. They have to know why. I didn’t know about Macy’s -BUT I DO NOW! I love Macy’s, too, bummer.
so let me get this right.
homosexuals who do very unnatural things to each other and do have a mental illness say it is not alright for companies to give their money to certain groups but it is alright for other certain companies to give money to their homosexuals groups which is clearly not normal nor natural
OK got it, well piss off homosexuals, cross dressers, you need mental help and you need to spend your time seeking that instead of telling certain groups where they can and cannot give their money to
American family association.
They keep tabs on the whack jobs and report on which companies give money to them in order to further their agenda
I love the NY Slimes “funneling” money. Makes it sound like they are supporting the Christians when it is just the Christians using a service like Paypal. Hey, I can boycott, too, and I do! I don’t use Google anymore.
I don’t give my money to certain companies
Home depot is a big money giver and actually recruits open flaming queers.
Soon as I found this out I sent them an e-mail and stopped going there along with my family.
Can they move along and adapt. So tired of this political correctness stuff-This is the United Sates of America. It says united for a reason-”we are equal” This is not United States Can I have this, America. We are all the same. Just some of us have a belief in God’s word so stop bashing those of us who believe in our views and of fair play in the market place.. Can’t show Christmas with God, can’t show a Jesus statue, can’t show the 10 commandments unless all of these are shown to the masses as something vulgar which they claim is art. (art??!!)) Hope these businesses continue to use fair market promotions for everybody.
maybe it’s time for Jim to put up a list on here which companies like to give their money to certain homo groups so we all know where to spend our money just like they do.
There is a damn more of us than them
The gays and their benefactors are doing nothing but hurting what is left of their respect. They just cannot keep out of the world’s face, STFU, and live in their own little perverted world. They just cannot grasp that much of the normal world does not support their lifestyle and they should do themselves a favor and get used to it.
Of course the present level of rampant, criminal liberalism is encouraging this activity as well. But I would hope they would be smart enough to recognize the typical playbook divide-and-conquer DemoRAT tactics in play. Apparently not. Group and class warfare from the radical left is hurting the gays.
Freaking perverts. They have so much hate. Commie libs hate America but the homosexual perverts hate everybody, including themselves.
End of sentence
It is about time that all the normal people get off the fence and chose sides since this is all the homos want to do—make people chose sides. If they attack the churches then the churches should fight back. There are millions of people at church on any given Sunday, why don’t the churches have the congregation sign petitions protesting the bully efforts of the deviants.
As for those who have swallowed all the gay lies for these past several decades, can you now not see that these are some really nasty people who want to dictate everything to us. Is this America? Where is freedom of speach?
Christians don’t parade naked in the streets, do not perform lewd acts in public.
Boycotts aren’t always successful. In fact, they often backfire.
For example, suppose a company has a potential market of 1,000,000 customers. Suppose of that number, 20% actually shop at that business. That results in 200,000 customers. Suppose of that number, 5% boycott the store. That means 10,000 people boycott.
Now, of that orginal 1,000,000 potential customers, there are 800,000 that aren’t currently shopping at that business. If 5% of those get mad at the boycotters and being shopping at that business, that results in 40,000 new customers.
The end result is that the business gains 30,000 new customers because of the boycott.
What can we do?
1. Support businesses that don’t bow to liberal pressure. (For example, make a special effort, as I do, to occasionally eat at Chik-F-la.)
2. Support the peripherals that might potentially suffer from the boycott. In this case, donate to the Family Research Council. I have in the past. It is a great organization.
“how do we fight back?”
Start a company that competes with Apple and don’t give in to the pro gay groups.
