I'm posting this for all the hypocritical Paulers who are trying to use immigration as the red herring to bait and divide conservatives, to help Ron Paul.

The fact is that Ron Paul is an open borders guy and the Paulers don't care a bit about in-state tuition. I guess they don't care about Social Security or Obamneycare, either. They just want to divide and conquer, but the truth is that they are helping Mitt Romney.

What trash. Take a look at California, it is falling under Mexican domination. Already they control Los Angeles, one of the largest cities in the U.S.; they are systematically plundering the San Joaquin Valley-see the various articles by VDH. They have ruined our education system, hospitals. They and the blacks are the crime problem. Then these Wall Street Journal types tell us all is wonderful.

Those who were once Americans-now a mere demographic-wander around mouthing PC egalitarianisms and are totally unable to excrete those that harm them. Americans cannot even defend themselves!

Put a big neon sign on the border saying “in state tuition for all your kids” and the flow will change. It’s tough state laws and a crap economy that’s slowed the flow, the fed could easily open the flood gates.

I’m not one of their subscribers so I can only read your excerpt. They seem to be saying illegal immigration is less of a problem now because fewer arrests are being made.
Fewer arrests doesn’t mean fewer people are invading.

Ah, what would we do without the Chamber of Commerce/Wall St. Journal open-borders axis?

If there are 30 million illegals in this country its enough to create some 50 congressional districts by their mere presence alone.

Anyone who wants to look the other way may as well just be true to themselves and vote democrat. They’re about to have a permanent majority anyway.

For fiscal 2010, arrests were 463,000, down from 724,000 in 2008—a one-third decline in two years.

Is this a result of fewer attempts or worse enforcement? Fewer arrests means fewer arrests, not fewer people trying to come in.

Illegal immigrants are clogging the schools, jails and welfare programs and costing us hundreds of billions per year.

"Keep your hands off our taxpayer-subsidized cheap labor!" screams the WSJ.

"We're against using ILLEGAL labor.. normalize them!" demands the WSJ.

So in four more years there will be no arrests at all? And that's supposed to be "good news"?

Call me when the number of people crossing the border w/o a visa or citizenship drops to zero.

It is a major issue, most all the welfare in CA seems to go to Hispanics who are here illegally or just got the green card. If they can't support themselves, go home.

There is the issue of all the narcos on our government lands also growing drugs. Twice a day a major farm is closed down in pour forests. If narcos could do that, Islamic A-holes could get through and burn forests, blow up malls, shoot up schools and so forth.

CLOSE THE BORDER.

Why would they come here if there are no jobs?

If you are coming for altruistic reasons, you play by the rules.

The Silver Lining to high U3/U6 unemployment...

Inexpensive, massive, SELF DEPORTATION! While we work to encourage the private sector to create jobs, we should be using the high unemployment rates to facilitate this deportation.

Don Quixote perhaps?

No, it's not the Paulistas ~ it's the Perbots ~ people just like yourself. They are captives to the agricultural interests that depend on a large number of illegal aliens to keep the agribusiness going.

Common, everyday, ordinary Americans who all have 1 or more close relatives unemployed or partially employed, KNOW what the immigration debate is about ~ and illegal aliens are NOT part of the immigration debate. They stand outside of it. Plus, Obama has ordered his peeps to not stop so many of them.

The WSJ can always be counted on to support illegal immigration.

Too bad we can’t deport Paul Gigot and the rest of the traitors at that rag.

If the jobs problem were completely solved tomorrow, would illegal immigration not be a problem?

Of course not, so these silly WSJ polls that say that nobody needs to address illegal immigration are meaningless. War was ranked even lower. So if we get attacked tomorrow, the WSJ editors will say it is not a problem because it ranks so low?

The truth is that the greatest danger to our society and nation is not from outside or even from liberal democrats. It is from the likes of the Wall Street Journal, the Chamber of Commerce, and RINOs, who put greed and personal empowerment ahead of America.

Abraham Lincoln, were he around today, would be repeating his Lyceum speech of 1838, so prophetic of the war to come in 1861, and of our demise today:

At what point shall we expect the approach of danger? By what means shall we fortify against it?-- Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant, to step the Ocean, and crush us at a blow? Never!--All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest; with a Buonaparte for a commander, could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trial of a thousand years.

At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide.

I interact extensively with illegals. I see their income statements, their tax returns, their bills...

Many of them have GOOD jobs. Some of them make more money than I do. It’s past the point where illegals are “just picking fruit.” Ooohhhh, how they cheat on their taxes. I have heard, among tax industry people, that the actual figure lost to illegals by the additional tax credit is more like $7 billion, not $3.5 billion.

Now, there is the flip side for illegals who have no education, and especially for the females who have baby after baby out of wedlock. No need for me to post the stats on the majority percentages of illegal’s families who are sucking our system dry through food stamps and welfare for their anchor babies.

Many illegals are moving around the country right now in search of work. Unemployment and underemployment is very bad. People are not bothering to come illegally right now as much because our economy is in the toilet. When the economy picks up again, if it ever does I suppose, illegals will be pouring in just like before. Some illegals are returning due to lack of work, but very few. A part-time crappy job here is better paying and has better conditions than the best they could hope for in their south of the border stinkhole.

The fact is illegal immigration is down because our economy is doing poorly, not because of Hussein’s great work in enforcing the borders.

Employers who hire illegals ought to be penalized. Yes, this will be slightly inflationary.

The story of American jobs and labor is deeply intertwined with predatory Federal, state and local taxation and regulation....

South Koreans sleep soundly on their border with NORKS because of American Taxpayer dollars and the American GI.

Why can’t Texans, New Mexicans, Arizonans and Californians?....BECAUSE

Illegal immigration is THE KEY to the perpetuation of the status quo in DC......

Predatory tax and regulatory policies-actions that basically serve to perpetuate and grow governments-leave what business is left in the country seeking disposable labor.

Illegal Labor is the Feds out for preserving the status quo regarding Taxes and Regulation. Interestingly, that is WHY the Feds encourage in-state tuition etc for illegals under-the-table -their presence providing disposable labor allows Federal, State and local regulatory and tax excess in the status quo to continue

Immigration is the ultimate litmus test as to the candidates in question commitment to meaningful regulatory and tax reform. If they are wishy-washy on the subject...they have no real intent to disturb the DC status quo...no matter how big their cowboy hat and six-gun.

Real”leadership” is that which will place Flyover Country’s interest ahead of the Feds....haven’t yet seen anything meaningful anywhere from anybody to indicate that might happen. We have just one more election cycle to make that happen via rule of law. Otherwise its the end of the run for America.
