Results Herman Cain 37% Perry 15% Romney 14%
I seriously want a Honkies for Herman bumper sticker!!!!
It is true that the nation has elected incoherent Texans to the White House but at the Orlando venue, Perry come up with some really dumb non-sequiturs. This one takes the cake: Perrys debate answer WRT what hed do if the White House phone rang at 3 AM......informing him that the Taliban had gotten control of Pakistans nuclear weapons.
Well, obviously, before you ever get to that point, you have to build a relationship in that region. And thats one of the things that this administration has not done. Just yesterday we found out through Admiral Mullen that Haqqani has been involved with and thats the terrorist group directly associated with the Pakistani country so to have a relationship with India, to make sure that India knows that they are an ally of the United States. Perry went on to tell a story about how the Obama administration wouldnt sell upgraded F-16 fighters to India. which n-e-v-e-r happened.
====================================
Perry's candidacy-ending response was when he thumbed his nose at his country and its citizenry by saying those who disagreed with him on in-state tuition are "heartless." The inference was that only Perry was Truly Worthy (b/c only he had sucked up to Mexico).
========================================
Perry was anticipating the triumphal moment when he would be able to nail Romney for being a flip-flopper---and had prepared for it. This was Perry's response: I think Americans just dont know sometimes which Mitt Romney theyre dealing with. Is it the Mitt Romney that was on the side of against the Second Amendment before he was for the Second Amendment? Was it was before he was before the social programs from the standpoint of he was for standing up for Roe versus Wade before he was against first Roe versus Wade? Him he was for Race to the Top. Hes for Obamacare and now hes against it. I mean, well wait until tomorrow and and and see which Mitt Romney were really talking to tonight.
==========================================
Perry has a complete lack of presidential gravitas he has an odd way of responding to a debater, then cocking his head in an almost mechanical way, posing with a self-satisfied grin (as if he had just paged through his vast holdings).
Wow, the newbies are out in force. How many trolls did you bring with you, "jgge?"
I’m the first one to reach out to newbies. I do my level best to see that they have a warm welcome and a bit of advice.
But when the guy barges in and posts the same drivel over and over again after being corrected a dozen times...
Well, I’m not going to take him seriously. That person is a trouble-making troll.
My answer to the question ‘who won the debate?’ is Palin won the debate.
He has already lived the American dream - personifies it.
Although I know Wiki is not always a reliable source - this is a good basic outline of Herman’s beginnings and accomplishments.

Awesome.
“Rick Perry was a goner ‘cause the winner would be the next President and old Mitt was a cinch to win it?”
I still think that the fix is in for romney by the gop elitists. Cain is going to have an uphill battle and all of us little people are really going to have to fight hard for Cain.
I actually got the Byron York tweet before the Cain tweet. lol
Just a few points.
1. Romney, Bachmann and Johnson were not on the ballot.
2. I’ve read that Romney is pleased with the result as this may knock his chief rival, Perry, out of the race or, at least, cause some damage to Perry’s campaign.
Better to battle cancer and win than to battle stupidity and lose, as Obama seems to be doing.
About 30 min ago,CNN made the announcement and said they would be back to discuss it. LOL. I am still waiting. All I saw was an interview with Clinton about the gay serviceman booed at CPAC. Now they are discussing DADT. Still waiting......
Then Fight! Fight! Fight!
Always fight for the conservative candidates.
If that were true, then I would think that your post would have addressed the comments he made and not the length of time he has been a FReeper.
Do you like your crow well done or slightly on the raw side?
***Wow, the newbies are out in force. How many trolls did you bring with you, “jgge?”***
Welcome to silly season! :)
FR certainty does become more interesting every four years!

Try actually addressing the facts about Cain and the Fed instead of repeating what you know to be a lie.
If you cannot debate the issue on the facts and instead have to make up a lie to validate your emotion based position, you have all ready lost the debate.
Woo-flipping-hoooo!
It wasn’t even close! Cain got more votes than Romney and Perry combined!
Herman Cain: 37.1%
Rick Perry: 15.4%
Mitt Romney: 14%
Rick Santorum: 10.9%
Ron Paul: 10.4%
Newt Gingrich: 8.4%
Jon Huntsman: 2.3%
Michele Bachmann: 1.5%
Today I’m sending in my first campaign contribution for 2012. Herman Cain is the least polarizing/most conservative candidate on the field. He’s a Tea Party darling, and, if FreeRepublic is a good indicator, he’s the one candidate I’ve noticed for months now that almost everybody likes. His biggest problem has been the perception that he’s unelectable, due mostly to poor name recognition and lack of money. This win should give him some much-needed momentum.
If Gov Palin gets in the race, I’ll give things another look. But, for now, I’m more than happy to send Herman my money. Things finally got interesting for me.
I’ll say it in all caps.
THANK GOD CAIN WON AND THAT POS ROMNEY DIDNT. SEE YA MYTH, YOU A HOLE.
