I was outside and a little North of you (San Juan Islands) enjoying the unusually warm evening about 9:40 and observed what I believed to be a satellite heading in a southerly direction. Viewing a satellite on a clear night is not unusual up here, but this one suddenly flared into a bright red color continuing its southernly orbit. I mentioned the viewing to my wife who immediately informed me that I was "seeing things". Good to get some verification, 'tho she still feels I am "certifiable".
Well, the pass over Seattle last night was the only orbit that took it anywheres near Calgary, so that’s what I’m thinkin...
