All of the actions in the article are more motion than results.
As a a great executive once said:
“Don’t tell me about all the money you spent and all the dust and smoke you churned up; tell me about the results you achieved.”
Of course as a Governor, what Perry can and cannot do to eliminate illegal entry are limited.
But as we have seen with George Bush’s waste of billions on his virtual fence, nothing is as nonporous as a solid fence of concrete, steel and wire. And that is what Perry has said he would not build as President.
Border security is a FEDERAL responsibility. To my knowledge Rick Perry is not president... yet.
He did more than most governors to secure the border, despite Federal inaction.
