Handicapped Kids...Better Off Dead

For those of us committed to the fight of saving Western Civilization from collapse, stories like the one that recently emerged from West Palm Beach, Florida are not reassuring. It seems that Ana Mejia and Rodolfo Santana, the parents of a young disabled boy named Bryan Santana, have received a $4.5-million court victory over a doctor and ultrasound technician they accused of malpractice.
What makes this story uniquely disturbing is the alleged offense of the two medical professionals. According to the Palm Beach Post, "[the parents] claimed they would have never have brought Bryan into the world had they known about his horrific disabilities ... the West Palm Beach couple said they would have terminated the pregnancy." In other words, since Bryan was born with only one limb, his life isn't worth as much as it would be if he had all of them. Therefore, the doctor and ultrasound tech are responsible for Bryan being alive rather than in a trash bin, and so they should have to pay for him.
The $4.5-million decision is half of what the parents requested, allegedly to help pay for Bryan's lifetime medical costs. That two individuals could be so shameless as to even publicly attach their names to a lawsuit of this nature, that our court system would even hear such a case, and that a jury of citizens would disgracefully reward the plaintiffs with anything but a callous lecture on their own moral degeneracy amount to a shocking commentary on how far our culture has fallen in terms of its respect for the value of human life.

If they did not want their baby, they should have adopted him out at birth. Many people adopt handicapped children and would have loved to care for this child and give him the love he deserves.
Child Services should take this child from them, they have stated they did not want him and wish they could have murdered him. Doesn’t that mean they are a danger to him? Child Services should get the child removed, terminate their rights- adopt the baby out and then tell them they have no standing to sue. No need for money to care for the child.
These people are sick and have no business with any child. If they had a child that had no issues at birth and ended up with issues later would they want to get rid of that child too? I bet so.
That didn’t make any sense the way I typed it...I was just so angry. I know they have already won their case...should have went the way I posted to begin with and now should be overturned and done that way.
And it's obvious that this court is not only completely ignorant of the U.S. Constitution, which requires equal protection for every innocent life, they also have no idea what the Florida constitution says either:

Actually, most ancient peoples of the classical world, with only a few exceptions, routinely practiced infanticide. The unique thing about the Spartans was that the decision was made by a committee of the State. In all other countries the decision was made by the head of the house.
The two exceptions I’m aware of were the Egyptians and the Jews. Historians and travel writers of the time routinely commented on these nations’ extremely odd customs. “They raise all their children. How very peculiar!”
You gotta admit a severely handicapped child is indeed highly inconvenient.
BTW, it is not a lie that inconvenient children can be legally killed. That is the law as it presently stands.
The lie is that this law is morally correct.
My Son & DIL were told when she was about 6 months pregnant, that the child was most definitely going to be born defective, and there was a chance for a still born birth. When my son finally told me about it, I went hysterical, feeling for my Son and his wife and soon to be 4th grandchild. When I asked what they were going to do, my son told me it was in Gods hands and however it turned out, so be it. If the child was stillborn, RIP, If he was defective, in any way, they would raise him just as they raised the other 3. Well God Bless, because I have a healthy 2 year old grandson. God Bless my Son & DIL, for having the courage to go with this choice. I raised my son Catholic and to believe all life was sacred, because it is!

Actually, I think it’s up to the creativity of the parents to make the most of what God gives them. Like the story of the talents...

You are all that’s good and true about “motherhood”.
Given that my mom -still- keeps saying her ‘real kid’ was stolen by gypsies at the hospital, I’m not so sure she’d have kept me, had she known beforehand.
[let’s just say I’m the “peacock in the family hen house”, shall we?]...;)
Some parents love “societal uniformity and perfection”; others cherish the unique idiosyncrasies of their kids.
Bless you for being of the latter type, knowing full well there are no guarantees.

Over the years, I have met a number of people born with "defects" including missing fingers, limbs, and so forth. The vast majority adapted very well (they never knew what it was like to be "normal" so simply used what they had) and lived lives very little different from those born fully intact.
When one of my sons was a baby, he got sick and we took him to the ER. The ER doctor on duty, who pretty much saved his life, had no thumbs. I've been very thankful, ever since, that no one decided his life was "useless!"
I feel for the poor child in this story. IMO, his real "handicap" is having parents who look at him and see a burden- or dollar signs- and not potential.

The parents contracted the heath professionals. The professionals were supposed to let the parents know if there was something wrong with the baby.
There was...and the health professionals FAILED in their contractual duties to notify the parents of such and were sued for their negligence.

Don't get me wrong. I think the parents are beyond reprehensible, but what they would have done had they known of the child's disability was NOT the basis for the lawsuit, it was the background for the petition to the court.

It’s state sanctioned murder, first and foremost, because lawmakers “legalized” the killing of the unborn.
The mother and father would never have been able to file a lawsuit if it were not for the “legalization” of murder.
