His stance on immigration is his biggest problem. Texas governors have always pandered to Mexico.

I left the Republican party when Dubya took his stand over illegals.

I sure won’t support or vote for warmed over Dubya.

Next!

Many here early on tried to warn that Perry had feet of clay.

Not knowing Perry from Adam, I gave him 3 debates now to introduce himself to me and show me what he’s got. Conclusion – he has Nothing. He totally comes across as a buffoon, and the least prepared candidate on the stage. Even though he knew what questions were going to be targeted at him, his answers were horrible.

How he handled the in-state tuition question was shameless. It sounded like advice taken from the book, Rules for Radicals. “When under attack accuse the attacker of something more outlandish and indefensible (even if not true), taking the spotlight off you.” Accusing opponents of his policy as being heartless for not wanting children to have an education is just the sort of outlandish accusation that would make Saul Alinsky and Obama proud.

Well, it looks like conservatives will get their wish and Perry is getting knocked out of the lead. Lots of help from the media, running around the country asking “Conservatives” how they felt about Perry’s awful statements and running stories 24/7 on Republican’s disappointment in Perry.

So Romney will be our pick now. But at least he’s against illegals. Isn’t he?

I thought Perry would be my candidate, but I’m not sure now. Unfortunately, most of the rest of the hopefuls don’t wow me either. I like Herman Cain, but he has a snowball’s chance in hell. It just doesn’t.look good for our side if Perry or Romney are the candidate. We are in serious trouble.

I guess it depends on who’s doing the doubting. If it’s Romney supporters, they can stick it somewhere. All I ask for is an intelligent executive with a spine who isn’t apologetic about his conservatism, isn’t a McCain wannabe or a “moderate alternative”, and is serious about reforms.

“Perry on shaky ground?”

Try quicksand.

And sinking fast.

Perry was tempting me away from Palin, but after his debate disasters, I’m back-pedaling furiously. Sarah beats him easily. And with both Perry and Bachmann dropping, the fumbled ball is bouncing right into Sarah’s hands.
