on a different note:

With Christy “reconsidering”, and Palin not saying anything...I think the context is shifting here. I have steadfastly said that Palin won’t say anything in September. I have about a week left to see if I am right or wrong on that point, but I stand by it.

That said...if Christy gets in, that would make it clear that it isn’t “too late”...and Palin might well jump in, also. I think these two improbable work hand in hand and are related.

And I think Christy would not announce reconsideration had Perry performed competently in the third debate.

“And I think Christy would not announce reconsideration had Perry performed competently in the third debate.”

If the Newsmax story reporting this is true, it would not surprise me if the “billionaires” referred to are certain kingmakers that prompted Perry to jump in by telling him they would back him if he can win the primary, and they did that primarily because they have no confidence Romney would beat the Demo nominee in the general election. So, now that Perry seemingly hurt himself in the debate, and may not be the alternative to Romney, maybe these same “billionaires” are turning to Christie? And, why Christie?
