There are some serious changes. http://www.utexas.edu/business/accounting/pubs/tf_undergrad_fall11.pdf You can get an idea of how magnificent the subsidy formerly was when you notice that undergraduate in-state tuition has more than doubled for this year. California tuitions rose even more and students are currently rioting over the matter.
I just did a simple Google and the 2010-2011 data is what came up.
I may be totally off base with my understanding of the BS that flowed out of Romney’s mouth while he was trying so hard to bash Texas and Perry.
When I heard Perry saying $22,000 a year and $100,000 for four years, I knew that “brilliant businessman” was screwed up with his numbers.
I still don’t understand the point he was trying to make, other than another opportunity to trash Perry.
(I think Perry should ask Romney to go jogging with him on one of the wilderness trails :) )
