If these is some polling data that likely voters in the general election place illegal immigration so high on their lists of concerns, would someone please share it?
Whether it is a legit important issue or not, I don’t think John Q Public has it on their mind right now.
If DeMint was in this thing it would be over already. Clear concise principles delivered with coherent language and speech patterns. He would kick Obummer every single day in the teeth until he was in the Oval Office.
I sure hope so!
It is not snarky. But seriously, with all the violence, murder, and mayhem--if you lived in Mexico, wouldn't you be hightailing it out of there?
I went there 30 years ago to a very nice hotel in Acapulco. There were heavily armed federales on the beach back then. Now the drug gangs are decapitating people and leaving them in the streets.
Mayors are being murdered, police stations overtaken. This week they even canceled a football game in TX due to security concerns.
The real immigration solution is to make the Mexicans want to stay in their own country. Our federal government should be dealing with the drug runners, gun dealers, and those profiting from transporting illegals in the country. IMHO.
Absolutely agree with you. Thought Perry struggled a lot tonight. Romney was cool under pressure, funny at times, didn’t stumble around. Perry came across really lacking focus or a grasp of what he was trying to say at times.
Cain was great. Some of the others did well also, but between Romney and Perry it wasn’t close in my opinion.
Excellent point. Also, they were not necessarily brought here by their parents when they were children. The age limit for the Texas Dream Act is 29, so some of them could have entered the USA of their own free will.
I don't know how many of them never file for legal status.
Yes it is Ted, regardless of what MSM’s pap.
Trust me.
The one guy in the back tonight who flubbed his response that he couldn’t remember what he was going to say... ACTOR!!! Bad one at that. Of course some here like to call me a liar for pointing out these Luntz groups are propaganda. None so blind as those who will not see.
Bump your post... everyone should see this.
“The one guy in the back tonight who flubbed his response that he couldnt remember what he was going to say... ACTOR!!! Bad one at that.”
it was funny because he was going after Perry for doing the exact same thing
It was good to see him work over Romney some. It's only the beginning of a long process.
Thanks for posting back up for me. Just read down thread I’m being called a liar.
Yeah I laughed when he said that. I thought he better be careful since those two could replace him!
You are right on that point, but these debates give the OTHER SIDE ammunition against the ultimate victor... that is why they are happy horsesh!t.
I can't believe I am saying this, but Newt makes the rest of this bunch look like rubes and has done so in every debate. I've made up my mind. I am supporting Newt.
Carjc, it’s attitudes like yours that get people like Obama winning 4 more years.
I’m not wild about Romney either, but Romney is a HELL of a lot better than Obama and to suggest anyone would sit home and let him win another term and totally destroy this country is ridiculous.
Really, GWB would have been a Godsend over the past three years.
I teamed those two up last week. When he said that I thought, who told him. :)
And what was with Santorum? He was horrible. I wondered if he might be shilling for Romney by attacking Perry so hard. Think thats possible?
its sad because I agree with him on almost everything but hes just sad.
*****************
Perry’s failures tonight were Perry’s failures (sure wish i could blame somebody else) BUT it does seem Bachmann and Santorum are after Perry...why him? Take out Mitt first, then go after Perry.
The only reason I see is that they smell a little of establishment GOP. Romney is the one GOP wants to win, they know they aren’t going to win, so what do they do? ....
I had been a HUGE Bachmann fan, I signed up at her site as soon as she announced, I had hoped she would run, I had such high hopes—now I can hardly stand her.
If Michele is so against abortion and Obamacare, certainly it would seem she would want to obliterate Romney and deal with Perry later.
She had the poison-perry arrows in her quiver, she could have used them later... she’s a bloody politician, nothing more, nothing less. Done with her...done.
