It’s a very typical scenario today- Imagine when you just started school, people with the same exact degrees were all getting good paying jobs. Now imagine you are about to graduate with incredible debt and there are none at all.
Yes, you can assume she has worthless degrees but I see this happening to kids today with very real ones. Degrees that were guaranteed tickets to great jobs just 5-10 years ago.
I know several graduates that have mechanical/nuclear/electrical engineering degrees from top-50 schools and they can’t even get an interview. All of the kids I know that got jobs recently got cushy ones through family connections or agreed to work overtime for free. The ones without connections are either stuck doing menial non-degree jobs or working 60-80 hours for 40 hours pay. This “connection” system creates a lack of social mobility and great resentment.
Business activity has slowed to a halt due to corruption and fear of idiotic government policy. Once all of these frustrated kids can no longer stay in their parents’ basements, there will be violence and that is precisely what the socialists want...
