I don’t know if you are from the south or not, but barbecue is one of those subjects that is often debated but never debated seriously. In the Carolina’s, there are three distinct barbecues - and the debates are just guy trash talk. I don’t want someone so un American (like Obama) that they’ve never hung around with the guys and talked smack (be it about football, girls, barbecue, music, cars, etc....)..
And it was almost 20 years ago.

I’m from the South, and I know what you are saying. I think you’ve hit on the truth of the whole issue, and in that context, Rick Perry’s comments are just part of the bantering. I couldn’t believe that he’d be so much of an oaf to say something like that seriously. I really thought this whole thing was a myth, but you’ve changed my mind. Again, thanks for the comments!
