Negative approval for Rick Perry in Texas: Poll
NewsTrack India ^ | September 21, 2011

US Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry regularly touts his successes during his three terms as Texas Governor, but in Texas, there's not too much satisfaction with the work he has done, according to a new poll.

The poll by Public Policy Polling showed that only 45 percent of the state's voters approve of Perry's job performance, while 48 percent say they don't approve, Politico reports.

It, however, said that a majority of Texans supported Perry over US President Barack Obama.

Perry leads Obama with 51 percent support to the President's 44 percent.

The survey of 569 Texas voters was taken from September 15 to 18, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.1 percentage points.

“This poster is a deranged Perry hater and more than likely a DU or Romneybot troll
ALL he posts are the Axleord Soros Perryb hater talking points or push poll of the day.
He is a classic Troll.”

It is downright sickening the way you toss around the charge of ‘troll’. What’s the matter with you? The OP is one of the most solid conservatives on this site. Some conservatives have questions and reservations about Perry. How about sticking with/addressing the issues in lieu of name calling and personal attacks???

PS: Find one positive thing the OP has ever said about Romney. Just one.

You can’t do it. But you sure can bandy your false charges and smear with the best. You should be ashamed.

Alaskans reject your Palin in the majority, too. They won’t forget her support of Rino McStain, her embracing his and algore’s agenda on carbon credits and taxes, McAmnesty and her standing up on her hind legs and denouncing the Supreme Court for overturning hate speech laws (the hate speech of the funeral protestors which she wants banned).

Alaskans are not thrilled with the dog and pony show she brought on their state including her resigning from being Governor.

So things are not rosy in your own backyard. If she runs, all this and more will come down on our heads so slash and burn “conservatives” who are pushing Romney in this race are not all they are cracked up to be.

They won’t forget her support of Rino McStain,

Do you feel she should have refused to serve her Country by accepting the Republican Nominee's request to be his running mate?

Or do you feel she should have accepted it, but then blasted and contradicted her Party's Nominee (and her running mate) on the campaign trail whenever she disagreed with him? How would that have been played out by the MSM?

It’s odd how most of the candidates don’t seem to be liked in their home states.

Familiarity breeds contempt?

Sure, but more recent polls there of Palin aren`t nearly as glowing.

Her approval rating is reported in the mid to high 30s:

I ALWAYS rely on “News Track India” for superior coverage of US elections.

These people are using anything they can to promote whatever weird agenda it is they support.

They're trotting out articles from the liies of the New York Times and the Washington Post as if they're gospel.

It's weird to watch FReepers using MSNBC-type tactics.

minus Obama the Republican candidates add up to way over 100%?

That is because in the poll the question was approve or disapprove.

The numbers I posted were just the approval percentage each one got in each individual question.

Here I will include all three percentages: favorable, unfavorable and not sure:

Obama favorable 40% Unfavorable 55% Not Sure 5%

Bachmann favorable 27% Unfavorable 55% Not Sure 17%

Newt favorable 29% unfavorable 56% Not sure 15%

Paul favorable 29% Unfavorable 54% Not Sure 18%

Perry Favorable 45% Unfavorable 48% Not Sure 6%

Romney Favorable 32% Unfavorable 49% Not Sure 19%

Perry’s desire to combine Texans Health coverage with that of Mexico.

Could you please expand on the desire? Like what it entailed, how it would work, who would pay, etc. Thanks

This is true; however, just how did he win the contest for governor? It stands to reason, that in spite of all that he won anyway, didn’t he?

Really? I could swear that his campaign had crashed, because a whole lot of Freepers are dumping on him? Where is this “cheering section” you’re claiming here? Where are they? From what I’ve been reading, his name has become Mud!

Not sure who you are answering but I am certainly not a Perry cheering section, far from it.
