The GOP is trying to rig the electoral college (Gigantic Barf and Hurl Alert!!!)

Like Poe’s purloined letter, the Republican plan to heist the 2012 presidential election sits before us in plain view. And going Poe one better, it is perfectly legal.

The first part of the strategy has been unfolding for months. Since the 2010 elections brought Republicans to power in numerous swing states, officials in many of those states have made it harder for minority, poor and young voters to cast their ballots. GOP governments have been curtailing early voting (in Ohio and Florida) and requiring voters to produce official photo-identification cards (in Wisconsin). In South Carolina, the poll tax lives again: Voters who want an official photo-ID card must present a passport or a birth certificate, neither of which can be obtained for free.

Washington Compost - appropriate name. Although I do imagine it is primarily used to line bird cages before being tossed on the compost heap.

I saw Rachel Maddow stomping her lumberjack boots about this last night. Pretty funny to see RATS openly advocating for voter fraud.

Someone please explain to me how or why any voting age adult in this country doesn’t have a photo ID? Also someone please explain to me why it is that minorities are less likely to have a photo ID?

the talking heads claim that it's the expense, and lack of transportation to get to a government office to get the required ID.

truth is, every state I have checked, it is illegal to not have some form of government issued ID.

Last I checked, a non-Photoshopped birth certificate was free.

I don’t have no photo on my drivers license. In Tennessee it is not required to have a photo on your drivers license once you turn 60. I do however have a military dependent ID card with photo

>>>And how many people really don't have IDs? Found the following for South Carolina: A January tally by the SC Election Commission shows 178,175 voters do not own a photo ID.

This article relates the issue of obtaining an ID for older folks born in rural parts of the state that never had a birth certificate.

What about states like Maryland and California? They passed laws awarding EV’s to the national popular vote winner?

That sounds more like rigging to me.

Oh, wait, stupid me - it benefits DEMOCRATS!! Its never cheating if it helps DEMOCRATS win!!

Cool. ‘Bout darn time we fought fire with fire.

Oh, wait, I don’t see any fraud in there. Just people trying to keep unqualified voters from fraudulently voting.

The GOP needs to ramp it up a bit.

Well, of course. The liberals never lose an election. They either win or they are cheated out of it.

So this guy thinks its just awful that a citizen has to pay for an ID to vote. I wonder how he feels about forcing the same citizen to purchase health insurance?

I'm pretty certain he will say that its not the same thing. However, the potential voter still has the freedom to chose not to buy an ID but that cannot be said for the citizen who is forced to purchase insurance.

It’s not free in D.C. or Virginia. I had to pay to get my children’s birth certificates.

Where were you checking? Where I look it cost a small fee. Maybe not so small to a poor person.

Simple solution. PURPLE FINGERS !!!

From One man, One vote ...

to

ONE FINGER, ONE VOTE ...

You can pick your finger. Extra points if it is the middle one.

Come on people, none of this is a big deal, it’s just the Democrats trying to protect their GOD given right of one man, multiple votes. /s

Red Herring. If the limo liberals are that worried about people not having the money to obtain certified documents, they can certainly donate the money and a free ride for anyone caught short, as part of their get-out-the-vote campaign.

Calling it a "poll tax" doesn't make it so. You only need to get the necessary photo ID once, not every time you vote.

If it were me, there would be a necessary litany at the polling place: each voter would recite the Pledge of Allegiance, facing a US Flag, and do it from memory.

The voter ID initiative was discussed in Wisconsin well before the 2010 elections. The Dems still got trounced, because most voters support voter ID. The only ones who don’t support it are the lib/leftists who like voter fraud and have benefited from it for decades.

Eighty percent of Wisconsin voters support voter ID. That’s a heck of a lot of Dems.

The libtards on the other hand, have arranged for some states to give their entire electoral vote to the national popular majority vote winner. If that happens to be a Republican, California, for example, will give the Republicans the states electors.

It was all over the hissie fit they had when algore lost. That wasn't the expected outcome was it you dim-wits?
