I think that it should be expedited only if there is concrete proof, like this instance or in the instance of Ted Bundy. Other than that, I think that four to five years while analysts go over the evidence and ensure that guilt is irrefutable. It’s too easy to end up killing an innocent.
If the best possible evidence is circumstantial, I agree. It’s not my goal to do in someone who doesn’t deserve it. Folks caught in the act, fry ‘em, and the sooner the better.
