Texas Gov. and GOP presidential contender Rick Perry released a new campaign video Wednesday, blasting President Obama for a lack of leadership in creating jobs and pointing to Perry as the leader who could turn the economy around.

The zero comment in the vid is a reference to zero jobs created last month. Perry isn't the only GOP member that used that exact same line.

Perry needs to be careful about perceptions that he might be bullying the Manchild. That could provoke a sympathy backlash. Yeah, that tactic worked great for Juan McLame in 2008, didn't it? I like a guy who calls a loser a loser. Obama has been a complete failure for America, and he deserves to be shunned, not praised. I also notice how Perry is busy attacking Obama, while Romney, Bachmann, and even Palin are biting at Perry's ankles.

This isn't 1980. People are angry and they are looking for a candidate who can focus their anger. The anger is already red hot among Republicans. Before November of next year it will be red hot among independents and glowing even among Dems. The race will go to the candidate who can best harness that anger. Hand-wringing about “President Zero” is self defeating. Perry will have to call Obama much worse before the end.
Perry has no problem being likable. He has to prove he can hit, hit hard and keep on hitting. This ad is an excellent start.
