Gingrich is a very smart guy, but he’s at least 15 years over the hill in terms of electability. That’s why Clinton likes him. It’s much the same reasoning that led the MSM to talk up McCain in the 2008 primaries—they knew he’d be a weak candidate once he got the nomination.

If it weren’t for Gingrich’s progressive views and his little sit-down with Bella Pelosi and his belief in the Global Warming religion, he would have been a GREAT candidate! Alas, he doesn’t stand a chance! Oh, what could’ve been.....

Well I guess the Elites(Both right and left) have decided that the GOP nominee will be a RINO. What say you fellow Republicans? I say no McCains! We can’t afford 4 more years of Obama but that doesn’t mean we have to give up our principle’s in the name of suppossed electablility! (Sadly SC still has an open primary. So If Barry doesn’t have a primary challange then we may get crossover and end up with Romney!(PUKE!) At least SC passed a Voter ID act that requires an ID to vote.

Gingrich VisionS -- Winning The Future: A 21st Century Contract With America
Lee Edwards, the Heritage Foundation Distinguished Fellow In Conservative Thought, raises these questions: "Will conservatives succeed, or is the conservative revolution over? Where is conservatism headed: for the mountaintop or the ash heap?" (The Conservative Revolution: The Movement That Remade America, 1999, p. 333)
Newt Gingrich provides one visionary answer to the Edwards' questions...certainly to the mountaintop...and beyond.
As Newt did with his (our) Conservative Opportunity Society, so he does with his latest applied vision: Winning The Future: A 21st Century Contract With America (2005) -- Newt provokes thought...and action.
Um.....Winning The Future? Where else have I seen that recently. Oh yeah....
Yep, what could've been....

Gingrich could be the nominee. So could George H. W. Bush. He's eligible (he only won once). He's also a blast from the distant past with a great deal of embarrassing baggage and no capacity for the kind of leadership the nation needs today. Just like Gingrich.
Newt Gingrich ‘12 is not remotely analogous to John McCain ‘08. Gingrich is running to the left of a major political player (Rick Perry). McCain benefited from a field with no plausible conservative. Huckabee was a progressive joke, Romney was (and is) a fraud. Fred Thompson never put together a big time campaign operation. McCain started with strong support from one third of the conservative coalition (national security conservatives/veterans). Gingrich starts with strong support from his current wife. McCain was always a threat for the 2008 nomination. Gingrich has never had the faintest hope of winning in 2012.
Clinton, as per usual, is talking out of his butt.

I would love to see Gingrich back as speaker of the house, or as press secretary in the Perry administration.

Newt could be the nominee, if all of the other candidates went down in a plane crash.

While I don’t see Newt as winning the nomination, he’s been on fire in the debates...and has IDEAS. Any Republican candidate would be well-served by seriously considering those. I’m awaiting his new “contract with America”. I have not seen anything from the other side...meanwhile, we have the Ryan plan and soon to be released Gingrich plan.
Who cares what Clinton thinks? 0bama certainly won’t.
