As part of his campaign swing through New York this week, Rick Perry is courting key constituencies, including Hispanic and Jewish voters.
But on Monday he dined with the one constituent that could prove more influential than any religious or ethnic bloc this election: Rupert Murdoch.
The two men shared a meal at The Post House, a steak house just a few blocks from Mr. Murdochs Fifth Avenue apartment, said one person with direct knowledge of the meeting.
Mr. Murdoch has ties to more than a few actual and potential members of the 2012 Republican presidential field. His Fox News Channel has employed Newt Gingrich, the former House speaker, and Rick Santorum, the former senator from Pennsylvania, both of whom are actively seeking the nomination. Fox also has on contract Sarah Palin, who has flirted with a run for president but not officially declared.

I think it was Gallaghers on 52nd and the steak was delicious because they aged the meat on site.
The Sofitel wasn't bad either.

I would have thought they would have gone to Smith and Wollenskys.
Interestingly, Post House and S&W are owned by the same chain.
Its why they are slightly different in some respects. The firm got everything, and let the owner keep the flagship, go figure.
