The killing of terrorism suspects and insurgents by armed drones, controlled by pilots sitting in bases thousands of miles away in the western United States, has prompted criticism that the technology makes war too antiseptic.
I'm sure that the Romans thought the same thing about the Parthians galloping around on horses and shooting them with arrows. Didn't help Crassus much.

Stinkin’ Parthian hoodlums. Probably smoked cigarettes and listened to loud music, too. Crassus was a good singer, though. It was said that he had a golden throat.
