Over in Rolling Stone, Jon Stewart, "the Walter Cronkite of this generation," frets that the president hasn't done more to circumvent the Constitution's separation of powers:
Im surprised at how much he deferred to the legislative process. Hes accomplished some things, and Im sure hes pleased with what hes done, but I would have preferred to see something a little bit more transformative.
Stewart is in his mid-forties and obviously steeped in pop culture. He must have seen the "How a Bill Becomes Law" episode of "Schoolhouse Rock" a couple of hundred of times by now.
I can only assume the Daily Show writers haven't yet told Stewart that Obama had a filibuster-proof Democratic majority in congress when he took office.
Jon Stewart is an IDIOT!
If Obama tried to assume dictatorial powers I’d expect the Secret Service to arrest him. I think Obama probably feels the same way and that’s what’s keeping him in check.
It’s a shame that more than 4 or 5 people even know who this idiot is. And to think that our young skulls full of mush use this asshat as a repository of current events is incredible.
I think you have more faith in them than I do. Didn’t they also protect Franklin D Roosevelt?
Something a little more 'transformative' for Jon and his Kappo f''in family.
Yeah. It never ceases to amaze me how many Jews say “never forget” and then demand an ever more powerful centralized government.
It's like they think the railroad cars to the "centers" will have domes and sleeping berths this time.
I agree he is the “Walter Cronkite” of his generation if by Walter Cronkite they mean smarmy, treasonous, liberal, pinhead.
Barack Obama may not be a complete dictator, but he’s about three-eighths of the way there.
I can’t believe how the left look up to this twit as some kind of cutting-edge political guru. I don’t think he’s even that good of a comedian, just another snide, smug, liberal.

If only we could go on blindly to our destruction we could all be happy!
Another exemplary genius of the Left.
He has a few moments just as an inexperienced boxer lands one or two good blows, but I found him pompous rather than funny.
And that equivalent of canned laughter (is the audience flashed a sign that says laugh or applaud?) doesn't help either.
From Obama to Stewart, all these lib/commies need sychophants around them.
Increase Jon Stewart’s taxes arbitrarily.
>>>Jon Stewart is an IDIOT!<<<
Actually, he is far, far worse than that. He has just enough education to rationalize his stupidity and say it in an engaging and funny way. As a result, he often gets credit for sounding smart, while the credit really belongs to those who are truly smart.

What an animal.
To stupid lefties dictators are great! As long as they are their kind. Any conservative bent is no good.
If Obama chose to assume dictatorial powers, there would be no Constitution, and hence no law. Therefore, nothing would be illegal.
Work it out from there.
