Watergate Times Three
The American Thinker ^ | Robert J Mack

Posted on 09/19/2011 2:30:52 AM PDT by opentalk

You think Richard Nixon's presidency was the worst scandal ever? Well, so far, anyway. It all started with a tape holding a door open at the Watergate complex in Washington, D.C., discovered by a security guard 39 years ago on June 17, 1972. That discovery started a sinister chapter in America's history, fueled by the fervent investigative work of Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein of The Washington Post and ending with the president, Richard M. Nixon, exiting the White House in disgrace on August 9, 1974.

A similar Watergate scandal could erupt for Barack Obama. The only difference is that there may be three of them.

The insane Solyndraloan, the LightSquared cronyism, and the Operation Fast and Furious gun-running debacle have all come into America's consciousness at the same time.

How could the government invest in a solar panel start-up that had no prospects for any kind of success, and to the tune of over 500 billion dollars? Why would a four-star Air Force general say that the White House tried to pressure him to change his testimony before the House Armed Services Strategic Forces Subcommittee to make it more favorable to a company tied to a large Democratic donor? Whatwere directors at the FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, and the ATF thinking when they persuaded gun dealers to allow more than 2,000 firearms to get in the hands of drug lords in Mexico, resulting in over 200 deaths?

These are questions that demand answers.

Unfortunately, you’re both right. It most likely won’t happen and whoever gets in office will simply say “Let’s move on.” The corruption will be buried.

The only difference is the press already hated Nixon. They loved Obama and helped put him in office. They will not do what is necessary to investigate his crimes

We're getting to that point ,, millions don't register anymore ... and Obama has just proposed (depending on your source) either $1.5TRILLION or $2.0 TRILLION in new taxes!!!

Oh and by the way it looks like Greece fails tomorrow when they have 2 Extra-Large bond issues come up for renewal...

OK ... I'll have a go.

It's because the Wee Wee is an amoral ... Muslim ... psychotic ... narcissist ... locked in an marriage to a mad dog ... that is suffering from years of blowing cocaine and toking weed ... with an I.Q. roughly equal to room temperature ... no discernible job skills ... no work experience other than as a "community organizer" (whatever the hell that is) ... placed in a job that would be demanding for even the best and brightest.

The only "fervant" investigative work done by so-called journalists now is when investigating the dangerous Tea Party, or Rick Perry or Sarah Palin.

bad enough without making it 1000 x worse.I've seen a lot of people make this mistake recently. It's as though "millions" seems so insignificant, the mind takes a quantum leap.

Don't tell Obama what comes after a trillion.

Wrong - the only difference is, as you so correctly point out,
the state-run, lame-stream, liberal-progressive, communist-controlled media WILL NOT make any of this an issue, nor will it give any of the allegations legs. As such, Hussein Obama will be protected — whatever it takes.

“Let’s move on.” The corruption will be buried.

John Lehman held up a book during the 9/11 Commission (Omission) Hearing and said "What about......" It was time to expose Bill Clinton as one of the root causes of the 9/11 attacks but that was never done.

During the Warren Commission hearings, one Secret Service agent would not back off one of his observations. Arlen Specter buried it and made sure his comments were minimized and then buried again by people like Gerald Ford. The little people can't know the truth about JFK's brutal murder.

It's necessary to bury things like this because if you knew the truth, things would rapidly degrade to where we would have a government just like the writers of the Constitution envisioned.

To get the type of change scum like Obama and BUSH I dream about, it's necessary for them to confuse the ordinary citizen so that they don't even suspect the truth much less understand what is going on.

The Washington Compost may become interested, however, if they conclude early enough that President Obama is unelectable.

That is a distinct possibility. The key being "if they conclude early enough". If and when they conclude that Obama is dead in the water politically and has no chance for reelection and they have time to enshrine Hillary, they will do it.

Time is running out for that scenario however and they might just be stuck with him.

“These are questions that demand answers...”

Brilliant, really-really bright, all-knowing, smart
Progressives are intellectual geniuses who can do no wrong, can commit no acts which might be “illegal” and don’t have to account or answer to anyone else because they are pure, compassionate, loving beings who are the highest on the evolutionary scale.

Only dumb, knuckle-dragging, flyover-county Conservatives
must be subjected to endles scrutiny and criticism.

Dontcha know?

“...the only focus of Obama’s loyalty is himself...”

One wonders of the base is still loving that Hope and Change thing.

Just asking.

Unfortunately, the next president, IF THERE IS ONE, will not be able to say, "Let's move on."

The destruction of the United States is so profound and far-reaching, the country may simply dissolve into all-out civil war and/or anarchy with the slogan, "every man for himself."

I don't believe the country can be fixed.

There cannot be improvement when HALF THE POPULATION SEES NOTHING WRONG in this lunacy!

We have undeniable insolvency of the federal government and, yet, not a day goes by but a new government program is announced!

There is so much corruption and runaway government, who could rein it in?

The United States is a tangled mess beyond the reach of the entire world's financial resources and whose pervasive immorality cannot be repaired by any human being.

I think there is one more scandal that could REALLY cause no end of trouble: the possibility that media organizations--or even prominent Internet operations like Google, Facebook and Twitter--were paid off with slush fund money to slant their information positively on the Obama Administration. And guess where the slush fund money came from: all those taxpayer dollars from the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act that were diverted from those failed "green" companies.

Can you imagine the gigantic firestorm that would cause if someone finds out the truth?

I have been thinking for a while that there must be some kind of threat involved. It is inconcievable to me that there are not enough good people left in our legislative, judicial and military bodies that this destruction is allowed to continue. A threat is the only thing that makes sense. A threat that they believe Obama, or whoever his puppeteer is, is capable of carrying out. Dark forces are hard at work. PRAY

He’s on the other side and seeks to destroy our national security, in hopes that his Muslim Brothers will take a more active role in our government.
