“Let’s focus on the candidates who will best advance the conservative cause and support them while they are still in the race. “

How about focusing on the candidates who can actually beat Obama?

Palin couldn’t and she knows that. She is smart enough to know that she has no chance of either getting the GOP nomination and especially has no chance of beating Obama. That is why she WILL NOT run.

Too bad that her supporters don’t see that.

If what you say is true - is the “reality” - then why doesn’t she announce that she’s NOT running? Why keep up the speculation?

Very stupid strategy, as we actually have ZERO idea who the GOP nominee will be running against. Remember the word "assume" -- makes an "ass" out of "u" and "me." Assumptions are risky things.

As long as we focus on electing a candidate on the basis of who he/she is running against, we're allowing the enemy to establish both the battlefield and the terms.

How about focusing on the candidates who can rally America to stand up and fight for limited government and rejection of liberalism? How about focusing on WINNING, instead of playing "not to lose"?

I hope and pray that Palin gets in the race, and I believe that if she does, she will win big and the term "Palin Democrats" will become part of the political lexicon in a good way.

At this point in the game, more than a month before the official starting bell, WHY is it so important?

And why are you so emotionally invested in this that you can't tell the truth, which is that it's your opinion that she won't run, but in stead have to shout your opinion as if it was fact, as if it was something you knew for sure, when it's quite obviously something NO ONE but Palin knows for sure? Your speculation isn't any more qualified than mine or anyone else's; the difference is, I KNOW it and you pretend otherwise. It makes you less credible, IMO.

Again, WHY do you think it's so important to convince people that your opinion isn't wrong, before the race has even started? I could see it once all the filing deadlines had passed, I really could. But I am mystified -- AT THIS POINT IN TIME, why do you think it's so important that "her supporters don't see it"? Five months from now, whether she declares or not, what possible difference do you think it will it have made?

Looks like you'll have to cross Perry off your list.

Latest Rasmussen poll shows Obamy beating Perry by 7.
