Steal away. In all seriousness, if I knew the ‘author’/artist, I would give them full attribution. This graphic circulated last year during the elections and I stealz it. :)

Lewis, 26, is the father of a 2-year-old girl, and says he plans to run on a single issue — Boehner's support of a federal budget that includes funding for Planned Parenthood, which he calls "the largest killer of unborn babies in America."

Photobucket

Without an across the board personal freedom directive, for all we know this candidate will take away all other personal freedoms while saving one.

There is more to freedom promotion than just one issue.

This could backfire on many followers if they jump in too fast.

“Sorry, I think this is stupid.”

That lounge lizard is the worst leader in history. He should leave the House and go work on his tan...or I should say, go to Target and buy some more of that Orange crap he sprays on himself. Anyone that self obsessed should NEVER be the leader of the People’s House. And the focus of the Teap Party is to put right what is wrong with the Grand Old Potty.

This is where it starts. We start playing a prevent defense, we lose.

"Boenher was the Rock of Gilbraltar during those debt-ceiling negotiations. He was able to reduce the massive projected increase in spending for FY2012-13 by almost 2%! I swear, there's just no pleasing some people.... "

And if he is from outside the district, and only able to articulate one issue, his running can never be more than an embarrassment to genuine Conservatives!

His picture, linking arms at a demonstration, hardly demonstrates any ability to articulate even on his one issue. This not only does not help the overall cause; it is likely to "turn-off" many, even as to his one issue. It is this point that many are missing. One's enthusiasm for a cause does not equate to effectiveness, if one is unaware of all the myriad emotional & psychological levers that motivate other people!

For, example, if you really want to fight the pro-abortionists, this is the far better approach--if I do say so, myself: Abortion Debate. Lewis, by approaching the issue in the wrong way, may actually garner more private contributions to Planned Parenthood, in Southern Ohio--hardly what any of us want.

Earlier this year Lewis participated in a sit-in protest at Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's office in Washington organized by Randall Terry's group, Insurrecta Nex. A video of the protest was posted on YouTube.

Dead in the water.

Of course, it is improper for the Federal Government to be funding ideological organizations of any sort. But so too, is it unacceptable to be funding all of the other Unconstitutional programs that we now must live with.

Exactly. But the comprehensive point of view is lost on a great number of the FReepers these days.

Why would you want to “attack” a good conservative Republican. Boehner is doing a good job with what he has to work with 1/2 a house of Congress plus some wishy washy GOP senators who are more interested in winning their next election than doing the people’s business. There is no reason for Republicans to challenage Boehner.

This guy sounds like he is NOT in the Tea Party. Too simple minded. Is this another NY-type RAT fraud?

Great graphic! Point well made (and taken)

Look, it’s encouraging and exciting that someone even wants to challenge the limp noodle. It’s early yet. If the guy is legit, then platforms can be revised accordingly and encompass the issues that are critical to our survival.

For those thinking that the guy doesn’t have a chance, I would encourage you to look at the elections on Tuesday; particularly the NY election with Turner.

Abortion? Is that the only issue he cares about? The issue he feels is the make-or-break issue of today for this country?

Then he loses all respect from this Independent. There are many, and worse, problems to worry about in These United States. The Republicans in the House decided, rightly or wrongly, that Boehner was going to be the standard-bearer for their caucus. Look back in history, and you will see that politics is the art of finding middle ground.

One of the problems we have today as a people is that there are too many people making bright-line judgments with absolutely no give at all. On both sides of the aisle. The Democrats want to solve things by throwing money at the problems. The Republicans say "no" (I don't mean that in a pejorative way; I believe that the government that governs least governs best) to most of these "solutions."

Our economy would be in much better shape if the Democrats could curb their anti-business and anti-wealth mantra long enough to get people working again. The environmental issues would be less pressing if the Republicans could work to agree to high-return measures.

Both sides are acting like children who "are holding my breath until my face turns blue until I get what I want." That's why I'm an Independent, by the way -- I've lost respect for both political parties for just this reason. I understand that one should hold onto principals; I believe, though, that it's better to lead by example instead of by force.

Don't like abortion? Fine, don't practice it. Your aversion to the procedure doesn't need to extend to holding a gun to the head of another woman. Don't like pollution? Fine, stop doing things that pollute. Your aversion to the practice doesn't need to extend to holding a gun to the head of another human being.

And so on. For people here who are Christians, remember that Jesus taught by example and by parable, not by force. When you impose your will on someone else, you are using force, violence, the acts of war, to effect the change. Make sure that the ends justify the carnage you inflict.

These folks are so black and white that they would rather lose the seat to a Dem than to win with someone who’s not a “purist”.

"How do we even know that Mr. Lewis can articulate our concerns on all of those other programs?"

If he can, he needs to do so soon.

"Secondly, Boehner represents the people of a particular district."

Excellent point. Lewis is going to have a huge battle convincing the people of Boehner's district that he has been so negligent in representing them, that he deserves to be removed as their Representative by someone who doesn't even live in the district.

If this is the only challenger to Boehner though, I'll take it. I live in California, and Boehner has voted on things I opposed, thus he affects me too. Lewis can make the same claim, in that while he doesn't live in Boehner's district, he has been adversely affected by votes Boehner has taken, and thus he has a right to run against him.
