Florida wont be close at all, Perry is up by 9 there in the most recent poll.
Morris is also wrong about Gardisil. Virginia requires it, although anyone can opt out.
Here’s another side of that story in Texas.

Santorum’s languishing with 1% in the polls. The Huckster came in second in, I forget which, either votes or delegates.
LOL! Wouldn't surprise me, he's really a Democrat after all. He and Bob Beckel are made for each other. :)
Short of Perry dying of a heart attack, he will be our nominee.
Not only is Perry way ahead in polling everywhere but in the New England states and Michigan (just like McCain in 2000 primary) but think about it... as each of the other candidates drops out.... who are their supporters going to flow towards Perry or Romney?
Perry will get supporters from everyone that drops except Huntsman. So add 1% to Romney’s current numbers and add another 20% to Perry’s already 20 point lead and you get a wipe out of 2000 primary proportions.
Because unless Perry comes back, that is who our nominee is going to be.
Don’t take Perry’s good polls too seriously. He’s the latest newcomer to a big crowd of candidates, most people nationally never heard of him and he’s just begun to be vetted - and what’s come out thus far is only good ammunition for the Dems in a general election. He’s just a McCain-lite.
It’s hard to understand if your not from the south, but people from the south prefer to vote for people from the south.
If Perry wasn’t in the race and Santorum was from the south we would be Huckster 2.0
Why don't you take a look at my posting history before making stupid comments.
actually nearly everything that has come out with help Perry in the general.
Most of the attacks on Perry are coming from the right, in the general this will help Perry by making him look more moderate.
Only the social security issue is a viable weakness in the general, but he will have a long time to clarify his position on that before the general (but it will be used against him)
Looks like the air is out of that balloon, especially after yesterday's stunt that left so many let down.
Did they include the third party candidate that will inevitably declare when Romney is confirmed as the nominee?
huh? comes back? Perry is still leading, no idea what your talking about.
The toe sucker Morris lists five issues were he says Perry is suspect. On 4 of those issues Morris sounds like the anti-Perry nitwits who run around FR crying wolf --- senior citizens fear Perry, Perry is handing Obama an issue on SocSec, Gardasil is a dictatorial plot and Perry is a crony capitalist.
Morris is right about one issue though. Immigration. Perry is a mixed bag on the border fence. To protect US sovereignty there must be a full border fence, not just in metro areas. Plus more BP agents, more TNG troops if necessary and the best high tech hardware money can buy, which Perry agrees with.
Morris focuses on Perry's negatives, but not his positives. Obviously Morris is downplaying Perry and pushing for Romney. Liberals always stick together.
OK, maybe you are just misguided.
The point is still the same. Dick Morris is not “just bringing up issues”, he IS bashing Perry, because:
1. He is MISREPRESENTING those issues.
2. He doesn’t mention any of the HUGE positives about Perry, that completely outweigh the issues that people use to try to bash Perry.
People care about jobs and economy and Perry has a strong record on those issues.
Sorry for the confusion. My comment was a response to another poster.
He seemed to be saying Romney will be a better candidate against Obama than Perry.
My thought is a Romney nomination splits the Republican Party in two and will hand Obama the election in a cakewalk.
I agree. But as repulsive as Slick Perry is with his offensive stance on illegal aliens, I would still vote for him over B.H. Obama. I would vote for any of the candidates seriously running over Obama.
