Bellevue v. Bloomberg over riot predictions(NY)
Seattle Gun Rights Examiner ^ | 16 September, 2011 | Dave Workman

Posted on 09/17/2011 6:45:39 AM PDT by marktwain

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg stepped a bit out of character Friday morning when he predicted that there could be riots in the streets if the federal government doesn’t “get serious” about creating jobs.

Mayor Bloomberg warned Friday there would be riots in the streets if Washington doesn't get serious about generating jobs. "We have a lot of kids graduating college, can't find jobs," Bloomberg said on his weekly WOR radio show. "That's what happened in Cairo. That's what happened in Madrid. You don't want those kinds of riots here."—New York Daily News

Quick to react was the Bellevue-based Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, which challenged Hizzoner to explain how law-abiding citizens should defend themselves, their homes and businesses when New York’s restrictive gun laws have left them essentially defenseless.

“Mayor Bloomberg is long on warnings, whether it’s about violence in the streets due to expanded concealed carry laws, increase gun ownership by law-abiding citizens, or a bleak economy for which he has offered no solutions, but expects big government to solve.”—CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb

One might ask what Bloomberg expects to gain by tossing out predictions of anarchy. Yes, the economy stinks, President Obama’s job performance is in the pits, his party – lest anyone forget – handed us the current economic stink bomb during its four years in charge on Capitol Hill, thanks to the un-stimulating “stimulus” package and “Obamacare,” and there does not appear to be much leadership on the landscape.

But forecasting riots is not going to compel anyone to produce a solution.

The question is, does Bloomberg *want* riots?

I doubt that he WANTS them....this is just a pre-emptive "it's not my fault" when things go to hell in NYC.

Now, he'll be able to stand there and say "I told you so" - while his city is torn down and he does nothing to stop it....and he will look blameless and almost heroic for his foresight and concern by stupid people, Democrats and the media...but I repeat myself - twice.

If he does, he’ll have to pay the rioters. I doubt the lazy sonsofaguns will do it for free.

Democrats are on the ship. They have drilled holes below the water line and now they are threatening mutiny if someone doesn't stop the ship from sinking.

Do Democrats want riots?

Does Obama crave a Brazilian shemale?

I had to laugh at the headline: Bellevue is our largest insane asylum! Bloomberg has belonged there since he first got elected.

Bingo! He’s still smarting from his stupid behavior during last year’s blizzard.

He’s probably off to his Bahamian home today to avoid these so-called riots.

I’m here in NYC and so far it’s all been quiet, lol.

It sounded like he was inviting riots, to me. Excusing them, at least. Disgusting lib.

Many a good ship has met her end after ramming a Bloomberg. “You’d think a big, steaming pile of sh_t like a Bloomberg couldn’t hurt a modern ship, but it’ll sink you sure as stink on a Bloomberg.” - Captain Johnny Crapper

“he predicted that there could be riots in the streets if the federal government doesn’t “get serious” about creating jobs.”

Obviously, he was endorsing the republican presidential candidate.

The conditions are ripe for riots, so he now has justification for gun confiscation. After all, he’s driving the conversation to a fever pitch with end in mind. He’ll also snatch your salt shaker while he’s at it.
We need to call this little prick out.

Bloomberg is a gun-grabbing coward who wouldn’t last 5 minutes without his personal security detail.

Perhaps Bloomberg was thinking that the wonderful “Arab Spring” in Egypt (he undoubtedly supported) that swept Mubarak from power might have a sequel in NYC to sweep HIM from power.

In Mike's world, being just another rich liberal without power and at the mercy of the “rabble” (that is, average New Yorkers) is horrifying. Bloomberg’s arrogance is stupefying.

The question is, does Bloomberg *want* riots?

Just have them hold off for a week or two. I've got some work to finish.
