I disagree. The administration of Obama has come after Sheriff Joe and he has a right to determine whether they are of legal status to do so.

He would have all the authority he needs if in a federal election that fraud has been committed in his county in his state.

I take it that the sheriff is investigating as to law violations in Maricopa County , Arizona where he is the high puba for law enforcement. I would guess there will be an investigation as to fraudulent SS numbers and birth certificates used for official purposes in Maricopa County. This might be the sheriffs method for a grand jury. Big oaks from little acorns do grow, interesting times ahead.
