Surrounded by unfriendly neighbors and terror organizations that aim to destroy her, the Jewish state has never had an easy life. Today, the challenges are mounting. Israel faces growing hostility from Turkey. Its three-decades-old peace with Egypt hangs by a thread. Iran pursues nuclear weapons its leaders vow to use to annihilate Israel. Terrorist attacks on Israeli civilians from Hezbollah and Hamas continue. And now, the Palestinian leadership is intent on destroying the possibility of a negotiated settlement of the conflict with Israel in favor of unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state by the United Nations........
Errors by the Obamaadministration have encouraged the Palestinians to take backward steps away from peace. It was a mistake to call for an Israeli construction freeze, including in Jerusalem, as an unprecedented precondition for talks. Indeed, the Palestinian leadership had been negotiating with Israel for years, notwithstanding settlement activity. When the Obamaadministration demanded a settlement freeze, it led to a freeze in Palestinian negotiations. It was a mistake to agree to the Palestinians' demand for indirect negotiations conducted through the U.S., and it was an even greater mistake for PresidentObama to distance himself from Israel and seek engagement with the hostile regimes in Syria and Iran.
Palestinian leaders have perceived this as a weakening of relations between Israel and the U.S, and they are trying to exploit it......

I don’t wait on wimmenfolk. I’ve left the wife and step-daughter to drive themselves (late as usual) to church because I wanted to get there on time for once.
As I understand it, there are some states that have filing deadlines coming up, correct? I’d guess we’ll hear her announcement one way or the other. Until then, if I had to vote today I would vote for Perry or Cain. I figure the primary is the time to vote your heart, so I’d vote for Cain. I suspect that today, Perry would win the nomination but not by as much as polls indicate.
In the general, I vote my brain. I did not vote for McCain in ‘08, primary or general, thinking “how bad can Obama really be?”
Now we know. There will be no excuses for not voting against Obama in 2012.

Palin’s my candidate, the first filing deadlines are still 6 weeks away, the first primary votes almost 5 months away.
Palin’s already and still got the best name recognition, so there’s no reason for her to jump in so early, like the others. She’s saving money and letting the spotlight shine on Perry (and yes, he’s starting to wither under it). She probably won’t be in the debates until November, which is just fine. Seven primary debate performances is plenty, and it should be a little less crowded up on the stage by the time she’s there.
Nothing related to her gender that’s making her time entrance strategically—just good politics.
If you actually read CW’s posts, you would see that Governor Perry’s public support of Israel goes back to at least 1991, when he was the Ag Commissioner of Texas.
That is a deliberate misrepresentation of his position. He is in favor of a fence in areas where they have been proven to be successful - primarily in urban areas like San Diego (in Texas, that would be places like Brownsville, El Paso, McAllen, etc.) In other areas, he prefers boots on the ground and technical means (drones, cameras, etc)
dreams of joint US and Mexican healthcare.
Another misrepresentation. What Perry supports is the ability of people in border areas to buy insurance that works on both sides of the border, and for people who have limited access to medical facilities to be able to access telemedicine. Telemedicine is the use of telecommunication and information technologies in order to provide clinical health care at a distance. It helps eliminate distance barriers and can improve access to medical services that would often not be consistently available in distant rural communities. It is also used to save lives in critical care and emergency situations.
Once again, you don't seem to actually READ the posts:

Perry is not in favor of a fence for the majority of the border and the way you are describing telemedicine is as an enabler of joint US and Mexican healthcare.
No misrepresentation—deliberate or otherwise.
Besides, IIRC US foreign policy already states we would provide a nuclear shield for Taiwan or Israel and yes, I believe Perry would proceed with what ever action was necessary.

Immigration Laws are Federal affairs is a cowardly cop-out—kidnapping and bank robbery are against federal law as well—would Perry not render assistance to stop these crimes as well?
