Its an Obama World The Obama Department of Justice moved in this week to protect teachers with unacceptable English skills. Judicial Watch reported:
Public school teachers with unacceptable English pronunciation and grammar are being protected by the Obama Administration, which has forced one state to eliminate a fluency monitoring program created to comply with a 2002 federal education law.
Singling out teachers who cant speak proper English in American schoolsfunded by taxpayers, no lessdiscriminates against Hispanics and others who are not native English speakers, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ). As a result it violates the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the teachers must remain in their current position.
Unbelievable as this may seem, its a true story reported this week by Arizonas largest newspaper. Ironically, the state launched the fluency monitoring program to comply with the bipartisan-backed No Child Left Behind Act, which requires states to create standardized tests that show public school students are reaching proficiency in core subjects like English, math and science.

The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
That's all they do.
Protecting the unqualified and incompetent has sort of an Ayn Rand/Hugo Chavez feel to it.
Third World Country Here We Come!
From personal knowledge of foreign teachers - I wouldn’t worry.
Unless the teacher is a dynamo, the kids will force them out of a job QUICKLY.
Work to shut down government schooling in two ways:
** Shut off the money spigot.
** Remove the kids.
Government schools need two things: kids and money. Without the kids and without the money the education industrial complex is out of business!
When I was in high school we had a 23 - year old mademoiselle French teacher from Paris. Vive la France!!
THIS is the most corrupt DOJ that I can remember in my lifetime.
That’s ok. A lot of the students will graduate without the ability to speak English properly. So, the kids will never notice.
Now the Obama administration has launched a War on Merit.
I had two very good teachers with distinct accents. My German spoke several languages and English wasn’t her best. Sometimes she would use German sentence structure to speak. It did help point out the difference.
I can remember protesting in front of the administration building at my uni for this very thing! Our professors COULD NOT speak ENGLISH!!!!!!!! That was in 1984!!!!!!!!
You WOULD NOT believe what my algebra class what like! The guy was Japanese with the THICKEST dialect.....EVER!!!!! I and other classmates were looking at each other like “WTF???”
I welcome all nationalities to teach.....but, for gawd’s sake.....LEARN ENGLISH!!!!!!!!
Given the circumstances (Arizona), I'd wager that the kids are mostly illegals and even less proficient in English than the teachers. And they couldn't care less...
Language Borders Culture - he’s got a good point.
If this is true as stated it is bull s#it.
When I stop them and ask them to speak again, they understand that whitey aint wit a clue. Face to face I've kinda figured it out by trial and error based on the machines they run and the most typical failures. But I still have no idea of what they said? I just know that based on their machine, that something isn't working right and that I quickly do an inventory of what's gone wrong.
When they first call on a radio or phone and I have no reference of what they are asking, I just answer with "I'll be right there". I feel bad, but it's the best I can do.

And in fair follow up, the workers I mentioned are very skilled, hard working, dedicated, and capable in the performance of their duties. They outperform general labor of any other region I’ve worked in the past 30 years, which was always white as snowflakes.
If, as a parent, you care about Language, Border, and Culture, don't send your kids to government school.
