The Sarah Palin 'revelations': next we'll be told she shot JFK and faked the moon landings
Tim Stanley
September 15, 2011
Its a myth that Sarah Palin is hated by the mainstream media. They love her, just for all the wrong reasons. For three years she has been a source of endless copy. Having covered her extensively in the 2008 race to the point of libel, they then gave her daughter a reality TV show and Sarah a wildlife documentary. Now writer Joe McGinniss has published a book claiming that Sarah Palin snorted coke, slept with a basketball star and had an affair with her husbands business partner. Over night she has turned from a gun-wielding illiterate to a pill-popping party girl. Its only a matter of time before we read that she also shot JFK and faked the moon landings.
This new round of accusations looks like a fantasy. McGinniss uses unnamed sources and its obvious that a lot of his named ones are motivated by spite (including a neighbour who had a road built across her property by the Palins). If anything, McGinniss has humanised Mrs Palin. He reveals that she sometimes holds a grudge (shock!) and has even had a row with her husband (horror!). He doesnt go so far as to say that she once parked in a disabled spot, but Ill bet the little minx has.
The book is more interesting in what it reflects about the obsessive quality of media coverage of the Palins. McGinniss comes off like a stalker. He rented a house next door to Sarah Palins, putting him within 15 ft of the kids play area. Palin posted a note on her Facebook page asking him to stay away from her children. McGinniss to put it lightly freaked out...

Dude's a nut. He's obsessed with Palin, which means one day he could transefer that obsession, and he probably will. On that note, if you see this moonbat anywhere near you, get a restraining order ASAP:

9/11, yup Palin did it. No way. She would have kept pushing the date back to increase drama.

No, if I see him near me, I won’t be getting a restraining order. I’ll be doing something a bit more immediate and a bit more physical.

LOL! Although it makes me wonder, is this book the reason Sarah’s been waiting to declare? To let the spotlight of the book die down before she formally announces? Hmmmmm.

Joe McGinniss' book is a fantasy and so over-the-top with it's unsubstantiated accusations that it is really an unintended parody of the lefts hatred of and obsession with Sarah Palin. I doubt Sarah Palin will even comment on it except to dismiss it as rubbish. However, I disagree with the Telegraph writers conclusion that Sarah Palin should just slink away from presidential politics and count her money or, as some folks who always claim to 'love' Sarah Palin advise just before they add a 'but' to their comment, she should forgo running for president and stand on the sidelines, cheer-leading for someone else. This Tim Stanley fellow seems to conclude that because, as a non-candidate, Sarah Palin has low approval numbers in the polls she is a no longer relevant and won't run. Perhaps she won't but I hope that is not the case. The current 'front-runners' in the Republican primary race have their individual assets but overall, I don't see anyone with Palin's conservative convictions or her charisma. She is a breath of fresh air in national politics and has been thoroughly vetted by both the left and the right. Her enemies are the left and the Republican establishment and they are vehement in their opposition to Sarah Palin. That tells me a lot, all of it positive. The next move is up to Sarah Palin but if she declines to run, for whatever reason, I'll have a lot less optimism about the future of America and will vote for the Republican candidate for president but with only a bit more enthusiasm than I had voting for John 'the maverick' McCain in 2008.

Me too. Sorry, but if someone was stalking my family like that, he would have paid dearly in many ways.

The book probably claims Sarah Palin was the groupie in the hotel room with Led Zepellin and the “mudshark.”

Poor Sarah. Could this book mean she is done? Much of dumbed down America will believe this rubbishI just was on another thread commending the Perry supporters (and main supporters of other candidates) for not piling on and clucking, then you come on and say the lame thing you just said.
Shame on you. Of course she's not done, almost every news outlet is skewering this stuff as lies, it's backfiring in the finest of ways. Only the bottom feeders are pretending it's true, and you slipped that in such a nice smarmy manner.......how good of you.

That's not true. I have always said I like Sarah. Many will believe it.

I doubt it will be believed except by the very young, gossipy FB set. The general public has been burned out by the “Get Sarah!” MSM. It’s been overplayed.

The MSM would rather talk about Sarah than Obama. If they would have talked about Obama, he would have never been elected. The MSM is afraid of Obama.
