"Things are going to get much worse," Celente says. "Society is breaking down on every level: socially, economically, politically and it's not just the U.S. It's worldwide."
Celente believes the globe is following a similar path to what occurred after the 1929 crash: Severe economic contraction, followed by currency wars, trade wars and, ultimately, armed conflict.
Currency wars have already started he said, citing the recent decision by the Swiss National Bank to peg the Swiss franc to the euro. "Trade wars are next and then real wars, unfortunately," Celente predicts.
Unlike the 1930s and 1940s, The Trends Journal publisher believes major nations will avoid direct conflict "because they can annihilate each other."
The bad news is he expects more asymmetrical warfare, including the use of weapons of mass destruction such as bio-terrorism and "suitcase nukes."

There will be wars and rumors of wars, among other things. It’s all working out exactly as planned.

When I would lurk on the economic threads here there was a guy I used to see that would post an opinion extremely close to the above. I haven’t seen him for a while though. I wonder if he was Gerald. 8-P

Glenn Beck has been saying this for a few years and people call him nuts.
One this is for sure, things in general have been going in a negative direction for quite some time.
It’s as if the collective human psyche expects some type of global calamity.
the words ‘crack’ and ‘pot’ come to mind.
so, you think things are going to get better? that society isn’t breaking down? Personally, I believe that we’re all walking down a path that leads straight to hell and there’s really no way to turn around. We will have to go through hell to get out of hell.

The worse the news gets, the more I focus on my homestead.
Today I took cuttings from each of the tomato varieties in the garden, and planted them inside. I’ve found I have better luck growing from cuttings than from seed, and tomato cuttings root at the drop of a hat. They won’t bear fruit indoors because the light is wrong, but they will provide nice long vines to take cuttings from next spring. Wish I could do that with all my plants but I don’t have room.
There has never been a society as complex as what we have now, so it’s impossible to even begin to measure the stages leading to complete collapse.
I say the guy has no clue.
Exactly. My father said, before he died and when I was young, when money is scarce around the world and people are out of work, our government takes too much control......the only answer is war. It seems the older I get, the smarter my father really was.
