Not only are major papers running headlines about the site becoming a laughingstock, even respected liberals are admitting that they would have flipped out had Bush tried something similar. Place your bets: How much longer can the PR beating go on before someone throws in the towel? Ace thinks itll be gone or at least substantially overhauled to rid it of the snazzy Gestapo color scheme by 6 p.m. ET. Im thinking theyre going to stick with it for the long haul for the reason MKH gives here:
Design regression from Fight the Smears to #AttackWatch is metaphor for Obama 08 vs. 12. Same product, subtract style, sprinkle desperation.
Compare and contrast. Were more than a year away from election day and its already axiomatic that this will be the nastiest campaign in recent memory and the worse the economy is, the nastier itll be on the White Houses end. Why pretend otherwise by adding rainbows and unicorns to AttackWatch.com now? They should keep the site as is and embrace the new scorched-earth vision of Hope and Change. Or better yet, embellish the motif. How about a grainy photo of Joe Biden in a balaclava to add atmosphere?

Quite frankly, considering the attackwatch laughing stock and the passthisbillrightnow farce, he ought to flush his entire presidency down the terlet and go back to Kenya right now.
I cannot even comprehend the extent this man has made a fool of himself in just this past week alone.
Hard to believe it’s still up. I put it on a facebook page with a warning to “watch you ass” and then pasted the link. They actually have big bold white and red warning text on a black field so it jumps right out. People keep flagging it so it stays at the top of the page. It’s pretty funny. Most thought it was a joke until they clacked through.
It creates ‘jobs’. You idiots just don’t understand the power of ‘the state’.
They’ll change it to a log-in private site limited to donors and supporters. That’ll keep it under the radar but still use it to collect info. Stasi never had an open web site, and Obama will change his format accordingly.
I did as well. I've been reluctant to enter the Twitter realm, but I couldn't resist and had to set up an account just to blast #attackwatch. I've never read such humorous content in my entire life.
The DNC gave us carte blanche to mock Odumbo in 140 characters or less.

My favorite was:

Three characters summed him up nicely.

“Oooh! LOVE the General Burkhalter color scheme!”
I called that one early — General Burkhalter was the Nazi general in Hogan’s Heroes.
Someone wrote “I’m turning myself in for watching Fox News.”
It is for donors. I tried to sign on and they asked for a donation.
lol
We need a unicorn with an armband here, and an obama insignia.

I love email and tweets from libs saying #attackwatch struck a nerve on right. No — really — it struck our collective funny bone.

I followed your link. It is fun to read them. :)
#attackwatch - I saw 6 ATMs in the alley, killing a job. It looks like a hate crime.
Oh this got to them.
I have been posting the best of the Twitters to my Facebook today.
One of my friends (who I believe is a lib, though he’s not OVERTLY political) posted that I need to get some sleep.
So... yes.... this got to them. Enough to make someone take a personal jab as a result of me posting the funniest Tweets to my Facebook.
What liberals really cannot stand is someone laughing at them. This will get under Barky’s skin like nothing else.
I agree, by Monday this thing will be history.
