But the story gets even more interesting when you start connecting the dots. A key Merck lobbyist, a man named Mike Toomey, actually served as the governor's chief of staff. In other words, a former top power person for the governor now works for Merck, the drug company that gave money to the campaign of the governor who essentially used dictatorial power to mandate, without any public debate whatsoever, the mass vaccination of young girls with a drug that will earn tens of millions of dollars in profits for Merck. Sound suspicious? It should.
The "dirty money connection" seems obvious to many readers who have been following this story, including one who posted, "Only a man, Rick Perry especially, would sign an executive order, bypassing legislation, to inject girls with chemicals made by one of his contributors even though most parents have never seen sufficient information about this vaccine.
Well, there are many other scandals in Rick’s sordid past that we’ll talk about in the coming months for sure, but this one isn’t going away any time soon.
You may be tired of hearing about it, but there are a lot of people who are just learning about it. They deserve to know the kind of man Rick Perry is before pulling a lever for him. I realize that doesn’t work to the advantage of his supporters, but well, that’s just too damn bad.
How much of the population, through their entire life, will only have sex with one person and that person have sex with no other?
My daughter may have the same judgment as my wife. She may choose to marry a born again christian and stay in a faithful and monogamous relationship for the rest of their lives. And her husband, may come a little late to that decision, first following a life of sin prior to growing up and finding God.
Perry bragged to the debate audience that he raised about $30 million and feigned distress at the suggestion that he could be bought for Merck's "cheap" $5,000 donation.
But Perry failed to tell the audience that he has a presidential war chest of $55 million raised (under FEC rules),in $2500 max per person/ $5000 max per corporate PAC contributions.
Perry raised $55 mill at the same time he was saying he would not run for president. He seems to get millions out of nowhere.
LETS LOOK AT THE FACTS Top executives at publicly-traded companies are required to certify the accuracy of their financial results. Execs have to affix their signature to official documents attesting to company's earnings affirming that there were internal controls to prevent fraud.
The FEC and SEC might have to determine whether publicly-reported earnings, through a variety of devices, produced materially false and misleading financial results.
Some execs have used schemes like misusing reserve accounts, concealing losses, inflating asset values and improperly accounting for transactions, as well as deferring profits into reserve accounts, improperly shifting capital funding to other projects to hide illegal payments to politicians.
Course Rick Perry knows nothing about that, I'm sure.
=====================================
Did crony capitalist Rick Perry receive more from Merck than the paltry $5000 he has admitted to. Did he falsify state documents WRT the Merck donation?

FOREGONE CONCLUSION Perry's old cronies and donors should not be allowed anywhere near the levers of federal power.
QUESTIONS PERRY SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO ANSWER
<><> Have you made deals with illegal aliens (1) to exchange campaign cash and votes for gratuities, (2) to use your office to get illegals US govt handouts?
<><> Did you promise illegals tax paid-free education, EITC, welfare, food stamps, UI, SS, SSI, healthcare, sub-prime mortgages, subsidized bank loans in exchange for votes?
<><> Do you know this is a felony?
<><> Do you know which identity illegals use to register to vote for you?
<><> Do you know illegals who qualify for Texas in-state tuition may also be eligible for state aid?
<><> Do you know that state aid to illegals is paid for by American citizens?
NOT EVER!!!
You got that right. God only knows what Perry and his cronies are planning to do with federal power.
Heh——good one.
Now ‘at’s a’ Per Bot!
The people who are just now learning "about the kind of man Rick Perry is" deserve to learn the TRUTH and not be mislead. Much of what is being put on FR about Rick Perry is either inaccurate or flat out lies.
Some of the stuff I've read on FR would make MSNBC proud...and I'm sure that is where some of it came from or will be used by them in the future.
So tell the truth and stop the misinformation and lying!...if you even know the difference between the truth and lies!
If you get the sane Perry supporters to actually read it, it's devastating. It convinced me, frankly I was shocked.
His "last name" comment in the debate should show anyone he hasn't changed his mind, he's W and McCain rolled together with a holster strapped on concerning illegals.
Yes, I know. That's why we're here to correct the lies of Rick Perry's supporters and flunkies and their attempt to cover up his shocking record of corruption.

"Come on down. You get one in the rear, in-state tuition at any Texas college,
and 'raza studies' in every school."

RAZA STUDIES: Anti-Americanism Disguised as Ethnic Studies in Tucson Schools

The Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) is in a contentious fight with the state of Arizona over its controversial Mexican-American Studies program. A state law went into effect in Arizona on January 1, 2011, banning the teaching of ethnic studies in K-12 schools. It was prompted by an investigation into TUSDs ethnic studies curriculum by Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne when he was State Superintendent of Schools.
The program is known as raza studies, which means race studies, championed by organizations like the far left organization National Council of La Raza. The course does not simply teach Latino youth about their heritage, it goes well beyond that. The textbooks teach Latino youth that they are mistreated by America, training them to become radical anti-American activists.
Textbooks include The Pedagogy of the Oppressed and Occupied America. Another text "gloats over the difficulties our country is having at enforcing its immigration laws." Benjamin Franklin is vilified as a racist. White people are referred to as gringos and oppressors of Latino people. Privilege is described as related to a persons ethnicity.
At a TUSD school board meeting on May 10, one upset mother read excerpts from the textbook An Epic Poem: " My land is lost and stolen, My culture has been raped......we have to destroy capitalism
overthrow a government that has committed abuses
.to the bloodsuckers, the parasites, the vampires who are the capitalists of the world: The schools are tools of the power structure that blind and sentence our youth to a life of confusion, and hypocrisy, one that preaches assimilation and practices institutional racism."--SNIP--
Now that I'm doing my own due diligence research, I keep finding warning flags about the guy.
It's great that he's the one Texans want for their Governor, but he should stay in Texas. They want him, they should keep him.
Fellow Freepers, please let me have the honor of nominating perfect_rovian_storm as "Poster Of the Month."
Watching him in action, I get the feeling Texans don't have much say in the matter of Perry being governor.
Perry did not enter the Iowa straw poll......but he calculatedly timed throwing his hat in the ring on the same day Bachman won the Iowa straw poll----stomping all over Bachman's hard-won victory.
Perry cunningly manipulated the Iowa vote from Texas. That strategy was supposed to put him over the top. Instead he got a pathetic 700-800 write-ins ...while Iowa winners who did the right thing-spending time and money there- got 4000 votes each.
The Perrydactyl's were cued to "say" Ricky won Iowa.
And there Perry was----front and center---waving to Iowans, taking pics in front of prominent Iowa banners---manipulating the media to make it look like he was the winner.
Goofball Perry
The winner in his own mind.
Thank you! :)
I gave you “reality”!
The more we teach and pretend bad behavior has no consequences, the more bad behavior we get.
That you accept a declining culture as an irreconcilable condition is sad.
Just wondering.
Heeeeerre, Sinky Sinky Sinky!
